  1. This is why masks don't work in a pandemic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVJbenwzR1s
. Because, when theory is pressed against reality, you'll start to understand that prevention becomes unattainable. Improper use of mask only increases the chance of infection as the public continues to interact with their surroundings and adjust their masks. The only way to be affective in mask wearing against a pandemic is to: 1. carry hand sanitizer at all times, 2. never touch/adjust your mask unless you san your hands each and every time before doing so, and 3. always were your goggles because of exposed mucosal in the eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeC1m9hkqVM&fbclid=IwAR113alaJTs1W8ZdMZM8rHJCQVWagH_veGCItSx4hCLQPSjq_wr1uWI0Swo
. Some things to consider: Doctors and nurses wear masks because they are in a control & sterile environment and they constantly work with the sick, and yet still, they sometimes get infected with a virus. Also, doctors & nurses change their masks between patients, and if it becomes wet. Is the public doing this and are they in a 'control & sterile'? Next, when doctors & nurses leave their hospitals and reenter the outside world, they’ve never worn their protective gear in public, at least not before this political scam-demic. Mind you, there are and have always been viruses deadlier than covid which still exist, yet doctors & nurses never wore their protective gear out in public even then.
Also: A cluster randomised trial of cloth masks compared with medical masks in healthcare workers https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/5/4/e006577
Results: The rates of all infection outcomes were highest in the cloth mask arm… Penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97% and medical masks 44%.
Conclusions: … the results caution against the use of cloth masks.
According to the CDC, there's no proof that face masks work. https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/5/19-0994_article
"We did not find evidence that surgical-type face masks are effective in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza transmission, either when worn by infected persons (source control) or by persons in the general community to reduce their susceptibility (Figure 2). However, as with hand hygiene, face masks might be able to reduce the transmission of other infections and therefore have value in an influenza pandemic when healthcare resources are stretched."

"Disposable medical masks (also known as surgical masks) are loose-fitting devices that were designed to be worn by medical personnel to protect accidental contamination of patient wounds, and to protect the wearer against splashes or sprays of bodily fluids (36). There is limited evidence for their effectiveness in preventing influenza virus transmission either when worn by the infected person for source control or when worn by uninfected persons to reduce exposure. Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza."
