Not the best game vs Buffalo last night but I have to give them credit for snatching a point from a game they trailed throughout.
Eriks Mateiko made quite a good impression too. 5 goals in 5 games. A behemoth with a hard heavy shot.
BUF seems to have the Caps number these past few years. i don't like how the D is struggling at times on the break out, teams have been keeping the Caps hemmed in, heavy forecheck pressuring is bothering them. Forwards need to come back and help out. The team has been a little off, sloppy passing leading to turnovers, giving up too many odd man rushes. Also, Caps need to cut down on the penalties late in the game when it's close. Dowd has been in the box a lot
