We've certainly seen a huge shift in drafting for the Habs. There is finally some talent in the pipeline for fans to get excited about. It;s been so many years of trading away first round picks and it came to an end under the new management. So many of the cup winning teams went through this process to build depth in the organization as there will undoubtedly be players that will leave in free agency and having depth in the organization will serve us well for years to come. Very exciting time to be a fan and watch this team grow. GHG

Montreal will get enforcements (Demidov, Fowler, Mailloux, Beck, Roy) in March which will propel them into the playoffs.
Dvorak is 5 mil a year, Evans at 4 mil is a steal
A first line of Suzuki, Caufield and Demidov will be mental. We could actually have two 50 goal scorers on the same line, ala McDavid and Draisatel
jake evans is one of the best players on the team easily would pay him 4 million a year, on the other hand slaf contract is very bad hopefully he turns it around
I cant lie. Habs Digest have been day 1 Jake Evans fans. Not that habs fans didn't like Evans. But as soon as Josh or Jesse would bring up trade rumors surounding Evans, they wouldn't like them. I was like okay. Hes important but if the price is right then yeah let him go. Then in preseason he was playing phenomenal. I believe i commented somewhere even, could he score 20 goals? About everyone said no including myself. Kinda wanted to just throw it out there for how good he was doing. Now hes on pace for 22! I mean i still am not sure he will get 20. December he shot 50% and thats how he got a lot of his goals. But its insane to see kinda a troll comment become a possible reality. He also is just a great two way player. Great at pk. Great at faceoffs. Like theres not a thing he cant do. Heck he has more 5 on 5 goals then Suzuki who had 33 goals last year.
You think evans will sign for 3.5? You must be using some good mind altering substances. He could get 5.5 on the market. I would be happy to give him 4.5 for 4
Honestly the best trades the habs have made in years is trading for Laine & trading for Carrier the team has done a complete 180 turn around. I'm glad they got rid of barron and Harris
$3.5 million x 4 years is good value for Evans
I also wouldn't mind giving him a 1 year deal at like $6 million, so we can see how Beck does before making a long-term decision.
Josh and Jesse, you guys are great, but slow down a shade. The pace is frantic, and rushed. You have discussions I like, and my god the content updates are fabulous.

I'm amazed no one is talking about one of Dobes' best moments when, after a glove save, he had the presence of mind and vision to see Gallager open near the Avs' blue line and made a split second decision to play the puck and almost launched Gally on a breakaway. Amazing that such a young guy would be so cool under pressure and not only focus on his net, but the whole surface of play!! Very impressive.
Well done again boys. There is a lot to look forward to for sure. I have been excited about the goaltending for a long time now and we are not even talking about Volokhin or for some of the other goalie prospects like Miller and Croteau. While they all can’t play, it sets us up nicely for a trade to get another rugged winger (maybe some who can fight), another bona fide sniper and another Carrier type d-man. We may have that within but time will tell.
I must agree with some of the other comments about being positive even when things are not going well. You guys have it down to a science because there were times when I questioned the team around having a pee wee coach, over-hyping players and a longer rebuild but I always walked away from one of your videos feeling better about the team and look at us now.
A few more Newfie jigs thrown in there would be a plus too. 😊
