Former Rangers captain Jacob Trouba details how his trade to Anaheim materialized: “Yesterday morning was ‘accept this trade or you’re going on waivers.’ It got to a point where I felt comfortable with Anaheim and that was the place I wanted to go. It’s unfortunate how it all happened.”

Best of luck out west captain
🫡
NRY are better without him.
Business is business. A solid d but too slow and too many reckless hits, IMO. It’s best for everyone. Lots of young players on the ducks roster for him to mentor. As a caps fan it’s always good to see tough players traded out of division. But best of luck to him.
"Accept the trade or go on waivers." Future players should think about that before they sign in NY.
Great teammate, but hasn't been the same player since the injury last year. Either way, Drury handled this situation in the worst way possible. He's also handed out some of the worst contracts in the sport and should be the first in line to lose his job.
You were a good CAPTAIN,you lost to the Panthers because only you were a physical force Zibanejad was a secret agent, never show up,was afraid of getting hit
My wife and I 😅😅😅 those she tell him what kind of shoes he should wear?
Great guy
Will always respect Trouba for putting his family first and giving his wife the best opportunities possible.
Good luck Troobs! You are a good man for putting family first. Inwill be the first to stand and give you an ovation your first time back to MSG
Wild. Jacob took ZERO accountability for his team falling out of a playoff position. Zero accountability to his teammates. He was the captain.
Rangers organization screwed their last 3 captains during the season. Callahan, McDonagh, now Trouba. All 3 had plenty of hockey left in the tank.
TROUBA LEFT THE RANGERS LIKE HE PLAYED FOR THEM: WITH ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.
He did this to himself. He could of been back home in Michigan playing for Detroit while his wife finishes up her job doing what she does in New York. Im pretty sure his parents would of loved to help out in the situation, so, again he did this to himself. Now he is out in the west coat far away from New York. I do feel bad about it but he should of taken advantage of the trade staying closer to his wife. Many teams wanted him on their roster, when clearly the Rangers didn't.
Good riddance. Terrible player and cost us the playoffs. Putting his family first? Dude you are a professional hockey player. You will be on the road half the season. Give me a break.
Miss you JT
The problem with you is that you don’t take accountability of what you were playing this color realistically and I am thrilled that you’re going to Anaheim but at the same time if you’re not willing to take responsibility, nothing’s gonna change
You were 100% about team for NYR, gave 110%, and brought toughness to the team that was missing.
Best to you, as a longtime NYR fan, you are already missed.
