I really wish that the media wasn't so rabid. I am baffled by how Rutherford, Allvin, Tocchet and Hughes have all confirmed the issue but Miller and Pettersson seem to be denying it. I also think it is the Canucks Front Office job for putting out statements and controlling the narrative on these sorts of things and they seem to completely neglect that responsibility. They haven't protected the players. The players haven't stood up for the organization.
It's just a shit show. I wish we could give the team 30 games and see how things play out while they are healthy, but the atmosphere has become almost completely hostile between the market and the Canucks. Everyone is waiting for a big move to happen or a big cathartic moment but the team seems ostensibly locked up.
I say reunite the lotto line for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. Miller + Petey share the faceoff circle 50/50. Screw the forward depth. Let the Canucks play and win as a team.
Is Pettersson actually injured? Is he refusing to play with Miller?
Petey is an over rated over paid flop. Not a Bure, not a Linden, not a Smyl, Gradin, Fraser, Twin. Weird average skater. One trick side shot pony. Good riddance I’d say.
"Couple of no.3s and 4s" is a pretty generous compliment to the current Canucks D.
Didn't Miller had an issue with Bo Horvat aswell for defending the coach decisions or something like that ? He seems to be that kind of miserable employee who always complain about his salary, his boss, his co-workers and ruin the mood for everybody but works hard enough to be able to keep his job
Not that it would solve anything but do you remember when teams would have a closed door locker room meeting to deal with internal issues? Maybe it's time for one.

Did I hear you say Lankinen extension of 2 years at $1.5 mil per? That is a dream. He is looking for term and he is getting more $$ than that.
This story is a perfect example of how canadiens markets are their own worst enemy.

At what point does a feud between two players on a team affect the overall performance of the team as a whole???
Because I think that the feud between these two it's not only affecting the way they are playing individually but also affecting the team as a whole.
I believe the media has made this worse than it is. Everyone needs to stop feeding off of the B.S from the media that keep blowing this up.
pettersson is soft as f and miller needs anger management classes.. trade them both.
Oilers fan here. I typically cannot stand the Flames but seeing the Canucks fans throwing jerseys on the ice when the Oilers beat the Canucks earlier this year (I think it was even preseason) was quite shocking.

I’m sure that JT is the common denominator of the issue here and can be a prick to play with, but if they trade him, they’re losing a major part of the Canucks emotional core and soul. The last thing I want is for him to be replaced by another underperforming Swede. Are you f**cking kidding me? If they trade Miller for Zibanejad I am going to drop to my knees and scream at the wretched curse that is the Vancouver Canucks!!!
The Hawks will take Peterson for Seth Jones, Wyatt Kaiser, Craig Smith, and any goalie they want.

This pains me but get rid of Miller.
Miller has to go – what Canuck fans don't realize is this is it – in other words, he's not getting better – he's peaked and it's all DOWNHILL from here for him. Trade him to the Rangers and get what you can for him. You (obviously) overachieved last year, you are NOT Stanley Cup contenders, you were pretenders, and the faster your management team realizes it the better off you'll be. NOt saying you're a 'bad' team here, in fact, IMO you are a legit playoff contender, (as in a top 10 team in the West). But no Cup for you -sorry to say not in a long time

The Sabres are there for sure, but the thing is, that’s where players go to kill off their careers. I’ll bring up Cody Hodgson. Went from Van to Buffalo, never heard from him again. I doubt ANYONE would waive to go to Buffalo
If Miller will only go back to the Rangers, then NY have all the leverage. I can't see Drury offering any more than a 1 for 1 for Zibanejad as a take it or leave it. Canuck fan talking about Lafreniere or Schneider are totally delusional, and a Zibanejad + K'Andre Miller offer seems an overpay when the Rangers are the only team JT will go to.
