DeBrincat was NOT happy playing on the second line in Ottawa behind Brady Tkachuk.

  1. Debrincat actually played more minutes per game than Tkachuk. I think Debrincat will end up scoring around 25 goals a year.

  2. He got plenty of opportunities in Ottawa and did little with them. Truthfully I don't think these comments are that legit but if they are then smell ya later Alex

  3. I think DeBrincat wanted to use every excuse in the book to get traded from Ottawa. He even pulled the waiting for new ownership card about signing his RFA contract. The truth is, he had already purchased a nice house in the Detroit area (where he is from), and really wanted to get traded to Detroit

  4. They had him as a passer on the power play and not on their PP1. Ottawa gave him ice but didn’t know wtf to do with him. He’s going to tear it up in Detroit who gives af about Ottawa anyway

  5. Watched him score in his first game in the 10-1 win (or whatever the score was) against Pitt season opener. Dude is nothing but elite none of you in the comments have watched him play a single game let alone his whole career.

  6. He might not be able to put up numbers driving his own line, but when you have a guy capable of 40+ goals you put him in a position to succeed. You'd be an idiot to waste his potential as an elite goal scorer by playing him with middle-six talent. When he's motivated he back-checks hard and is always open. Saw it when he played with the Hawks.

  7. Ah b.s. just another fluff piece by shit bird media to stir up shit, who cares, he's where he wants to be and now he can stick it to Ottawa everytime he plays them.

  8. Because he put up decent points with Kane he thinks he’s a top 3 forward? Obvi wasn’t the case in Ottawa and won’t be in Detroit either.

  9. As a sens fan acquiring both Giroux & DeBrincat was never going to work. Batherson was always the #1 winger.
