The drama never stops around the Canucks, as Thatcher Demko gets injured again, and the Canucks blow another 3rd period lead vs Seattle. Matt and Blake look at how long it might be for Demko this time, and what it means for the Canucks’ interest in signing Kevin Lankinen to an extension. The Canucks get set to take on the Preds at home tonight as well, and the guys wonder if JT Miller will continue to see his ice time suppressed by Rick Tochhet. Jeff Paterson joins the guys with the latest from coach as he met with the media. JPat gives his thoughts on the team trying to keep its head above water, and projects his guesses on how things will go on this expansive 5 game road trip. Then it’s Jeff Marek from The Sheet, and the guys get into a deep discussion on the choices of Dave Cameron as coach of the Canadian World Junior team, and where Hockey Canada may turn in the future. Marek then chats about Quinn Hughes MVP candidacy getting a boost while he’s out, and whether JT Miller to the Rangers could really be a thing. All that, plus some other odds and ends and another edition of “To the People We Go”!

I'm pretty sure that Miller's on his way out.
As much as i like Miller over Petey, ,this seems like a pattern with Miller tbh. I think it would have worked if he had the C but not like this.
Miller for Lafreniere and Schneider – thoughts? At least according to Fantasy SP this would be a fair trade for both sides.
Cap wise this would work for both teams, Rangers likely would want a pick or prospect as well I'd think given it's two young players but maybe not 🤷♂️ obviously we become weaker at center in this trade but we do get a winger that management has liked and been linked too before. I like it from the Canucks side of things – unsure exactly how the Rangers might view such a trade at face value.
Just a spitball idea.
Is anyone else looking forward to a head to head matchup between Miller and EP40 at the 4 nations cup?
Zibanejad the main piece I would want from New York but giving up miller will be like giving up horvat your forward core is weaker defensively
You have to play the guys that give you the most results and most effort. Right now that's not Miller, because there are 3-4th liners that are doing a lot more for the team right now than him. Garland was the most consistent forward last season and the same thing this season. If you keep Miller after he's run Horvat out of town and now trying to run Pettersson out of town, you're saying you're good with the next star player he turns on because he decides they aren't as awesome as he is.
Sign Lank the Tank now before he goes some where else for more atleast another year
When I look at expectations met and not met, I 'd be moving Petey and Demco and planning to move Miller next year. History has shown neither are difference makers. Miller should have been captain if you want a tough team. Canucks have had too many nice reasonable captains.
NO to moving Miller.
Blake says these stories are coming from the players. Yeah, but how old is that Richardson story? How is that letting the media off the hook quoting guys from years ago?
One of the main reasons JT would go back to NY is to play with Trochek (his best friend) so I doubt Trochek comes back to the Nucks. I want to see JT be where he can be the ultimate him, if thats NY, I'll be following him there.
Trade them both if this is true
