When it comes to Jonathan toews I definitely would give him a chance just for his experience in the playoffs alone is worth the risk
Skeptical though I take him on a minimum and a replacement for Kampf
If Toews is healthy, he'd be a great fit at 3C, probably wouldn't cost more than the minimum.
Also no prospect need to be dealt. Saving ammunition for another trade
toews would be exactly what the leafs need you might be able to get him for 2 years at maybe 2 or 3 million per
Rather they sign toews than trade everything in the cupboard for a nick foligno for 2 games

I would absolutely love to see him in a Leafs sweater. Not messing with 3rd line though. Also I would put him in the Marlies to start. Who knows where he is at as a player at this moment in time.

Tavares is not a 3rd line centre THIS YEAR. Let him play out his contract, let him know that if he re signs he’ll be our 3C. We gotta focus more on finding a guy to play with Reilly
I said this last year he is better then all the Europeans on the leafs, if he is healthy he would make a big difference and as a former Winnipegger, I would bet on him, along with Dale Weise another winger that would kick ass for Toronto, we both went to the same boxing coach and he is a in your face player!!!

I thought Toews was done because of health issues. If he's good to go then it'd be great to get him, but if he's still messed up no thanks.
