The preds are the biggest bust
Trotz was a great coach , but that doesn't make him a great GM, most of his moves have made the team worse .
un vol en plein jour comme ont dis !
Preds:
– Added young-ish dman not known for his defensive play to a preds team that was already struggling defensively.
Habs:
-Basically solved all of their major problems in defense in one single trade only for the price of one defensively struggling young player.
Yeah, I don't think I've seen a trade backfire this badly this fast.
Its not roberry , basically Alex for Atturi. Thats a lost trade. BAD trade to begin with.
I went to see the Canadiens get blown out by Pittsburgh. I'm telling you, a big reason was Barron…I was in the front row during the game, and the amount of times this guy wasn't keeping his head up or was just busy scanning and not skating was unreal.
It just seemed way too fast-paced for him; in my opinion, currently I think he's an AHL player at best.
Trotz vs Hughes is like a chipmunk vs a mountain-lion.
Love the carrier trade but Barron is only 23 and the preds have a good Defensive coach that’ll probably help Barron develop so I’d say wait a couple years before we judge lol but I hope Canadiens keep carrier for a good while
Im a habs fan but carrier was sitting in the press box in nashville collecting 3.75 mil , if barron sits in the press box in nashville he is only collecting 1.15 mil or so
Nashville was shedding salary
Barron is a project
Too early to tell, but Carrier has been the biggest win of that trade for now.
Great trade for mtl
Barron is a great young player without specific strengths., The problem is that Barron needs to be cuddled and give him repetitions and minutes.
As a Habs fan im not really ready to dump on Barron. Carrier has had great returns early but who knows what he looks like at the end of the season? I really like how quickly Guhle and Carrier are playing as a pair.
What wasn’t said was Carrier allowed Guhle to go back to LHD. So it’s been a greater benefit than just a single player improvement
Trotz made the deal for Cap space and a future move.
I’ve never been a big fan of Barron, but I think we should wait a couple of game before deciding a winner. Yes he didn’t looked good for those three game, but he just got traded. It’s a new system, a new environment and a totally different market. I think, and hope, that he can make it work. Just give him a bit of time.
Carrier as been great in Mtl but we need to remember he was also with Preds who sucked bad… They had to get rid of $$$. Barron can become good if on first pp I fell 40 points like a Petry type player.
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Preds unloaded a bit of cap and took on a long term project… Barron is a future (only 100 games so far).
