Creator’s Note: I had to switch from 2K NHL2K5 to EA Sports NHL 2005 because the 2K game keep freezing when trying to advance the schedule – and this occurred on both the PS2 and the original XBox. After multiple attempts to address it, I decided to call it and move on to NHL2005. The 2K games have been removed and we are starting fresh,

The Lost Seasons series moves on to the only US-based professional season that didn’t happen because of a work stoppage, the 2004-05 NHL season. Games will be played out on the same days as scheduled 20 years ago. The Stanley Cup Playoffs will be played out in full when we get there in April. Will the Tampa Bay Lightning repeat or will another team lift the cup?
