  1. There's a video of all of this kid's career suspensions in Juniors. He's used to this type of play. If they play again, he better be ready to drop the gloves with Foligno or Trenin. Retribution is coming. IMO, you can argue for and against intent. Just an unbiased opinion. Well wishes to Jared Spurgeon.

  2. If Nash announcers do not see a clear intentional slewfoot, then they have no right to announce games. That's disgusting! Give him 8 games.

  3. Who's the POS Pred announcer ?? Fricking homer says he doesn't see a slew foot? It was both legs and he didn't take the body! Moron! Paging Dr. Foligno. Again MORON announcer

  4. Anyone want to talk about how bad Boston announcers are now? This commentary by Nashville is UNREAL 🤡

  5. Nashville's commentary is fucking embarassing. I'm tired of hearing people talk shit about Boston if this is the kind of bullshit they get away with in the rest of the league. What a joke.

  6. I remember when PK Slewban did this to Sammy Blais a couple years back. One of the dirtiest things you could ever do out on the ice. Disgusting.

  7. I really don’t see the slew foot here and I’m a neutral fan. If you’re looking at the slow mo it doesn’t tell the whole story. I do think it’s just bad timing in lifting the stick of Spurgeon. I cannot be convinced of intent regardless of QMJHL history, but fans gonna fan.

  8. The DOPeS need to up suspensions by a LOT. If you injure a guy on a play like this, you need to be out for a long time, and on top of that, as long as the guy you hurt if it goes beyond your suspension. Clean up the greatest game on earth.

  9. That was clear as day a slew foot and he knew what he was doing Nashville is absolute garbage this year

  10. Okay, obvious slew foot is obvious, but why on earth would you start beating the guy into your own injured teammate? Take him away from the scene of the crime first or something.

  11. What a fucking clown. Rookie takes out a captain and then refuses to fight trenin. Classless. Hopefully he gets 5 games or less so he has to answer the bell on the 18th.

  12. L commentary from Nashville. What clowns are you kidding me… this should be a long suspension that was fucking trash.

  13. The instinct to jump in(literally) by Trenin is admirable, but he clips both of Spurgeon's legs and bends the one back pretty far back as he's hurtling over him. That had to feel great on the freshly hyperextended knee.

  14. Nine suspensions before he went to the minors, two more there before coming to the NHL. This kid is dangerous.

  15. When people ask me what’s my favorite hockey team I don’t say Which give us a top 3 pick and let’s end this clown show already

  16. Its interesting as an outsider (from the UK) to see the different takes from different commentary teams. However, the Nashville commentary saying that isn't a clear slewfoot is crazy! I know each local market's commentary teams are going to have a bias towards that local market team, but everyone could see it was a dangerous play from L'Heureux, a dirty play, even, and you choose to blatantly ignore it because it was against the local market team you're commentating for.

I have given the Boston commentary team a lot of stick in the last decade for their bollocks, but this is right up there with the most ludicrous commentary calls.

  17. Somebody—if not Brunette or Trotz, then for damn sure Haslam—needs to sit this kid down and tell him that if he does this again, he’s done. Doing nothing will effectively tell every kid in the Predators fan base that this is okay. This is one time where an owner has to intervene.

  18. Not in person, so 5 or fewer. But M*rch*nd does this basically every game, so if the league is going to start calling this…
