We are very excited for ASP. If it makes you feel any better, we think we should have had Hughes lol. The other side of me has genuine disappointment in the Panthers for not playing Panthers hockey.
I remember when Detroit picked Nate Danielson at 9 feeling disappointed because there was no way ASP would be there at 17, he's looking like a steal even for a first round pick.
Without Hughes petterson and Hornek and with Demko playing how he is ,the Canucks are not a playoff team

weird to me that Dallas (an American team) is fined for holding an optional practice over a (Canadian) holiday, while having a team composed of many other nationalities. I think Pulju hit puberty a couple of years before others, which made him look like a superstar in the making because he had decent hands, too. Too bad his brain never caught up, his decision making on ice is severely lacking and he just takes too long processing plays.

Last year's Canucks reminded me of the 2022-23 Devils, at least in that they had an unexpectedly good year. And this year's Canucks remind me of the 23-24 Devils, higher expectations but riddled with injuries. (There are some obvious differences, too, of course.)

Puljujarvi is gonna get claimed i absolutely hate that for the pens and love it for Puljujarvi. He deserves to play and for some reason sully refuses to use him. Feel like the pens couldve gotten something if they traded him instead of lose him for nothing

The way to get the Canucks emotionally invested in working hard and playing well is the following. Every Canuck player with a contract that pays them a million or more per year should be contractually obligated to pay $5000.00 into a social housing slush fund every time they lose a regular season game. This will wake up the talent on the team, keep them focused, and provide an opportunity for some healthy public relations (i.e. giving back to the community).
