With all the New York Rangers news, updates, and rumors that have been surfacing over the past days and months a new one came up stating that Mika Zibanejad is willing to waive his no-movement clause for the right team. Rangers now could be able to trade Zibanejad if they can find a willing team.

This is one release i do not want, what he needs is another lines mate that will feed him the puck for his sniper shot so far he hasn't had that luxury and don't forget this season has been a player management disagreement and the players played inconsistent with no spirit which has not only their season but the Fans season of a Cup. Management has a habit of pressing the PANIC button and end up letting a key player go and most of all i would love if Dolan would sell the organization to someone that loves the game and gives the fans what they want rather than getting richer off of fans

Mika is actually the Player I think would be the hardest to move. Let's say, for the sake of the argument Mika does gets moved. Chances are high, The Rangers will have to retain at the bare minimal would be fifty percent or more of his current deal. So the Rangers would be paying Mika to leave NY, while still retaining at least, half of his cap hit. The Rangers would get very little in return and still be paying for Mika until the 2029-2030 season ends. This is why, I hate giving players around 28 years ago an 8 year deal and if your going to make it an eight year deal, a full NMC should "NOT" be allowed. A partial one is fine, since it would give the team a little bit of wiggle room to get off of that kind of contract if need be.
I can't like this enough. It's time for him to move on and get a fresh start somewhere else. It's also time to move the kids up to the varsity; hell, what could happen? Lose a bunch of games? They're doing it with this group already.
I could see a trade between New York and Vancouver, although Vancouver desperately needs a defensemen. A multi player trade perhaps, but I'm not sure how they'd make it all work out. I would keep my eye on those two teams though, just a feeling.

Mika isnt a playoff performing guy. He's a great 2 way player and with scoring wingers he is a top 15 if not top 5 TWO-WAY center. This year though he would rather pop Xanax and make DJ mixes than actually playing hockey.
Return wise though I would expect PLD-like swaps. Only a few west coast teams could take on his full salary, and a bad contract may still come back. I don't think he gets a 1st. Maybe a conditional 2nd, a 3rd, and something else.
Retention would be a roster management disaster.
This season is lost. Drury has to go before major changes are made.
Mika is untradeable! When a player asks for an 8 year contract with a no trade clause, that's when he is most valuable & should be traded. Why wait till he goes into the tank & then get nothing while retaining a bunch of salary. I believe there is a disconnect between Z & K with the coach. Fire Laviolette & see what happens. If Drury goes too, that's a bonus!
Trade him to Europe for a croissant
With the contract that Mika has it could be hard to trade him.

Chris Dreary should not be trusted to make any more personnel moves of any kind, he has made a terrible mess of this team. His replacement needs to clean up the mess.
I want to know what happened to him and Kreider. They used to be monster players now they are playing like ghouls.

Also looking at stats for last few seasons who played RW even strength with Kreider and Zibanejad? It looks like that RW appeared only at the trade deadline. Who the heck played there the rest of the time since Buchnevich was traded away for no reason?
