  1. Love your content btw! As both a Canucks and a Habs fan would you do this?
    Trade Proposal:
    Vancouver Receives: David Savard
    (50% retained by Buffalo)
Montreal Receives: (2026 2nd [Vancouver's] and Henri Jokiharju)
    Buffalo Receives: (Vincent Desharnais, 2027 4th [Chicago's], and 2026 6th [Montreal's])

  2. A savard trade does not make sense. Montreal just got Carrier because they were lacking on the right D side. So trading Savard would just put them right back in the same hole

  3. It all depends on what Habs get back. It’s easy to say a trade makes sense but do they have to offer? Tired of draft picks , I’d take Cowan or Knies. Pare is a career AHLer

  4. Makes zero sense, with Montreal just looking in at the wild Card spot for a playoff push , just got Carrier to stable the defense , it would be stupid to weaken what the Habs strengthened.

  5. As a leaf fan, my take is, why trade for a fringe guy, he wont crack our top 4, let someone else have him, the leafs shouldn't focuse on him. If they will retain salary and accept a 6th or worse it's fine. Otherwise, no. I wouldn't even trade Robertson for Savard and salary retained.

  6. So did I miss what this Johnston guy say the Leafs would return???? Habs dont need draft picks anymore. Looking at Leafs prospect pool they have just 1 guy Cowan worth Habs wanting back…..my guess Leafs wont get Savard….Sorry Mr Leafs Johnston. Dont think Montreal is in hockey to help the Leafs win in playoffs for nothing

  7. Chris is a Leafs fanboy. Savard is so very valuable to the surging Habs. 34 is not old. The Habs don't do well when he is not in the line up. No way the Habs make this trade – not at this point anyways. Give us a 1st rounder AND Cowen for Savard. End of story.

  8. what is people's obsession with trading an important piece of the team when he's doing good? Like listen, we're doing good rn and are 8-4-0 in our last 12 so why just throw that fact away and trade them? i would understand if we were doing horrible but we arent atm. If we are still doing good by the deadline, then we are gonna keep savard, keep evans the only one we're most likely trading away is dvorak because right now he doesnt really have a purpose except winning draws. plus a guy like beck can be called up to take his place. Right now in Laval, no one is ready to be called up to replace savard, and struble cant fill that spot savard will leave empty, and people will probably read this and say , well mailloux can be called up, but he shouldnt right now cause he is struggling and isnt ready to come up just yet. we shouldnt trade pieces that we cant replace with younger, currently owned talent who are ready to make the jump to the NHL otherwise we clearly lost the trades made with said players, for example, the carrier trade: Barron was young and made a lot of mistakes on the ice and struble was more worth putting on the ice than him because of his bad defensive play, and we wanted a right side defender to allow guhle to play in a position where he can give his 100 and be comfortable playing, which is why we got a defenceman with more experience and good adaptability to play with him who turned out to be Carrier. and if it didnt work out with carrier we still had struble ready to split the games with him.

  9. Just because someone thinks a deal makes sense, means the teams are "linked". Linked means the two teams are having talks. Unless this has happened, this is all fubar.
