this may sound dumb, but his understanding of the geometry of how to ramp pucks is a quality that i don't think i have ever seen as prevalent as it is with matthews. how he can soften up his hands and turn his wrists to redirect pucks to go exactly where he wants them is absurd. there's nobody else doing it better.
