QUICK UPDATE: I know my mic was actually OFF for this one, my fault…anyway hope you still enjoy, the camera mic still worked thankfully 🙃🎤 Wins a win right?! GHG! 😁
Full props to the Habs for their 2 weekend wins in Florida. I must admit it was impressive to see as winning against the Florida teams are usually a difficult feat esp playing in Florida. Evans is definitely feeling it and doing a great job setting himself up to a huge deserving windfall in his UFA season. Will he re-sign in Mtl? I would hope so considering our weakness at Center BUT it will come down to what he is asking $$ and term, also what other teams may be willing to pay to acquire him. I'm sure Hughes & the team would love to have Jake back but all the factors I mentioned will decide his future….especially who Hughes has his sights on at trade deadline…bc I expect new players joining rather than getting more draft picks, altho adding another 1st round pick, or high 2nd rounder would set us up nicely for Draft 2025. Great wins…good for the fans…but I am also realistic and won't get ahead of myself (I still feel our D coverage is horrid IMO…thank you Dobes&Monty!)…but savour the successful Habs weekend! Go Habs Go!
I feel like Evans was told to shoot more. How many 2 on 1's has he shot and scored on this year? at least 4 I think. I thought Evans was great last year even tho he wasn't on the scoring sheet much. He rarely makes mistakes.
Florida and Tampa seemed so off, it's strange, like they at etoo much Turkey for Christmas. Don't remember when Habs won back to back in Florida, usually it's loses, I guess 2009 some say.
It is crazy the change the team has experienced with Laine back. I mean I think some of the credit can be given to Carrier as well, but it's like the team was in a fog before and now everything is just clicking. Not sure what will happen the rest of the season, but it's exciting to watch the Habs again. Plus hearing the Ole Ole Ole not once, but twice in Florida, specially in Tampa! Made my weekend.
I feel like not long ago I was one among very few people who was urging the Habs to keep Evans and Armia. Nice to see them getting some of the breaks they've long deserved, and getting some love from the fanbase.
We outshot a team. By a lot. Our D is not giving up much lately. Jake means more to us than he would elsewhere and I think he likes Montreal.Term is probably important so maybe 5 years @ 4 million per year ? I hope Cayden is okay staying in the organization. He always seems sad
Man, you’re up and down like a dogs stomach? Are you bipolar? Not making fun, seriously asking! Not long ago you posted this dramatic send off, now you’re back?
The first line is not productive as all teams know their power based on last year, so they guard them a lot. Thats why the rest of the team has it easier. Last year it was just them. This year its starting to be the second line as well. So the team is now a team, not a first line and nothing.
I feel Evens deserves 3.5M per year for like 3 or 4 years. But as a FA he will be offered more. So if he wants to stay with the Habs, that's what I expect him to sign for. But we will have to see if he extends or waits for the summer to sign elsewhere.
The Habs looked way better than their opponents in most games since Laine returned. Yeah, they're 8-4 since December 3rd. In those four losses, there were three that were close and the 9-2 brain fart vs. the Penguins. Since Laine's return, the Habs have outscored their opponents 44-32 and that includes the aforementioned 9-2 loss to the Pens.

Our four lines rolling, is the reason why we are successful right now. Everyone on the team is working hard and contributing! GHG
MSL called him “Jacko” … as in Jaco
I say under 3.5 mil i would resign Evans and keep him. If he wants anything over that then trade him for an awesome package this year.

Potentially the best complete game of the season
They won 5 out of the last 6 game
Whoever drew up the schedule for these 2 games probably was looking at it laughing at the Habs lol
Resign Evans he's a big part of the team. He's responsible he can score.

Glad to see Jake found his shot.
I was surprised as well to see Habs beat Lightening! It seems like things are finally falling into place for the Habs.
we have to keep evans

3 points from playoffs!!
Canadiens doing lots of smart decisions lately! Go Habs!
Sell high, buy low. We are rebuilding. It's that ez.
Evans deserved to be extended ASAP
Kucherov had like 5 warning from refs, thats why he got the penalty on 3rd.
If Evans was going to stay, he would have been extended long ago…he will net a nice return on the trade market 😉
Good to see you back regular Drew!

duuuuuuude please dm me about your audio i will fix it immediately
We have the best fourth line in the league right now!

Yeah, they're rolling now.
