Eh idk… The Jarry exposés are getting a little old. I think he has played excellent over the this stretch. I understand the argument for wanting Blomqvist back up, though. Through October-November, I think Jarry and Nedeljkovic were close to equal parts terrible. Ned is probably the easier player to move.
DK…….I have to wonder if the players get the same mindset we do as fans, with Jarry in net you expect at least three goals against and you expect one to be absolutely horrible. The fact they weathered the storm by the Phillys and put the foot back on the gas was great to see, but I was holding my breath until Bunting got that fifth goal, I expected this game to go along with the previous scripts. I do wonder something else, is Sullivan capable of calling a timeout duriing these moments to recollect the team, slow down the other team's momentum? Jarry should never of got paid as the number one guy, he's a backup at best. Enough about him, back to the positives, a great win against the Flyers…….we are starting to see why Karlsson was brought here, and sometimes I think we take for granted what we are watching Sid do for this team,……Merry Xmas DK!

Couldnt agree more about Jarry. How far are they going to let this guy handicap the penguins? Dubas spoke so highly of him in his interview yesterday, you just KNOW he is too stubborn to admit he made a massive mistake signing him.
I forgot to mention. The powerplay has legitimately been GREAT!! The improvement from last year is honestly absolutely astounding nobody is really talking about it which is kinda crazy to me. If we had the same powerplay we have this year for LAST season we’re EASILY a playoff team and maybe we make a run last season!!!
EXACTLY DK, Ive been saying that same thing!!!! Praying that somehow Jarry strings together a 5-7 game sect which improves his stats enough to trade him, PERIOD! End of story. Imagine, the Pens playing their best hockey, put together a 6-1-1 streak where Jarry somehow gains a couple shutouts, a save % of .925, and goals against of 2.0…….at this point, a second round pick and we take 1.0 million for the next 3 years?! Heavenly. Lord, I never pray for sports but I beg you for this one case, that Jarry has a streak enough to garner enough attention to be traded. What I have found is that each time the Pens get to host a game right before Thanksgiving or right before Christmas in their barn.. you can bet the over. It's like clockwork.
DK, obviously you don't pick games or advise anyone else to do so, which is wise. Go ahead though, fans that do dabble in this sort of thing. Look up the goal totals going back as far as you wish in such games. It's almost guaranteed to be over 6.5
Crosby about to pass Joe Sakic for 9th all time in league scoring. There is an outside chance, an outside chance, if Sid wants to play 3 or 4 more years and stays healthy that he passes Jagr for 2nd all time.
as much as I'm not a fan of Jarry, I think he made some important and good saves (minus the one on Courturier). The Pens D looks atrocious, especially Graves, Shea, and Grzylcek. We really need Pickering back, even more than Pettersson. I hope they trade him for depth help now more so than draft picks and I think the Pens could be a playoff team with low expectations.
Since getting smoked by Utah 6-1 on Nov 23, the Pens are now 9-3-1 in the past month. They've gone from 15th in the conference to 9th during that span. For all the constant complaining … what on earth were people's expectations this season? Did you think they should win the Metro? Be better than Carolina and New Jersey? Better than NYR? Oh wait, they are on that one. Be the #1 seed … better than Florida? I mean what are we complaining about?
I'm so tired of the Jarry conversation. The dude needs to GO!

You guys are clamoring for Nedeljkovic to get more starts, but in reality, Blomqvist deserves a longer look at the nhl level. Jarry and Nedeljkovic have not proven to be anything better than average, quite honestly, so why do they refuse to acknowledge that. Though at the same time let's be real. The Penguins' defense has been getting exposed for a few years now, and nobody wants to admit how difficult it has been to play goaltender for this team, especially against elite offenses. The defense gives up too many quality chances even a top 5 goaltender couldn't cover up all the problems defending at times. Teams like Carolina, Toronto, Florida, the Devils, the Rangers, etc. often expose their weak backchecking.
The Pens may not be any better than a wild card, but at least they are fun to watch now.
The look on Letang's face after Jarry gave up that soft goal to Couturier says everything about the teams faith in Jarry.

Jarry is great! Jarry is horrible! There is nothing in between w. this guy..Never has been..Nothing will change. He makes miraculous saves and also cant stop anything. Dubus should have known this going in, because as you say, Jarry is pushing 30 now…Happy Christmas DK..or Festivus…..::)

Jarry is worse than Ned but Ned is doing the same things. Early goals blown leads the pens need to get rid of both of them.
