  1. What an insane weekend for the Habs! If this version of the team keeps showing up, they are in "the mix". GO HABS GO and Happy New Year!!!

  2. The Laine effect is showing. Kids playing street hockey and scoring well deserved goals. Dobes is a great switch as backup giving SM some breaks.

  3. The Canadiens have given up on Primeau, they will not offer him a contract. Primeau should try another team if he wants another shot in the league.

  4. Don't be surprised if Dobes continues to play really well that Monty might be used as trade bait for that missing piece.

  5. Probably Dachs best hockey of the season. Nice to see 4 lines going. I thought maybe they escape with 2 points this weekend if they got lucky. Thats the best they've played all season.

  6. Great win. Happy for the play. But again, WHY didn't MSL play Dobes after his big win? Man. He's,going to ruin this kid like he did Primeau

  7. You can not replace the value that Evans and Armia gives the team on the bottom 6 and killing penalties you take those two out of the lineup and it's a totally different team BOTTOM 6 PLAYERS ARE THE KEY TO WINNING STANLEY CUPS

  8. Having a second line is huge

Also if you look at this team without Ghule vs this team with Ghule the difference is huge

This team is currently healthy and it’s clicking

  9. Laine has impressed, he's healing, skating harder. & most importantly, he's playing a 200 ft game. He's smart & crafty, the guy's have taken notice. That's what a team is all about. Yes, their in the mix…

  10. I watched Dobes in Laval last year and this year. After the mid way season last year he was lights out and put them in the mix to get in the playoffs (look at his stats). He played the same this year and the Rocket were at the top or near the top of the league so far. He is the real deal. I criticized the team and coaches this year, but the last 10 games have been a Jeckyl Hyde story. Love the play of the team now.

  11. The way that most fans/ media are reacting from the two win week-end, they indeed want to be in he mix…not rebuilding. If they keep playing good hockey, they might not even get a top10 pick next summer. That means that Suzuki and Hutson will likely be the 1C and top#1 defenseman for possibly the next 10 years unless they luckily win a draft lottery within the next couple of years !!!

  12. All starts on the back end for the Habs. Defensive improvement needs to stay consistent; if they can keep that up we will see this team take a significant step this season and play those "meaningful" games in March we all want to see.

  13. I think he’s going to play in Vegas. He’s ready for the NHL, just a different mental make up and his game is far more advanced than Primeau swimming on his stomach. He has a lot to correct in his game right now. Dobes stunned the leafs during the preseason, he didn’t win, but showed the start of what he could do. Marty is throwing him out against the hardest teams for a reason

  14. Number 75 is a star they should keep him on as a back up and eventually a starting goalie!!! let’s not lose this guy

  15. Since Carrier arrived, the D has been more together and, the entire team is playing good defense. We should have kept Kovacevic, He has helped lift NJ to the top of the east! One last thing, this Heineman kid is going to be a big part of this team. I love what we have seen from this guy. He can skate, hit, score. and he plays hard and smart!
