Why does this team always struggle after any sort of break? Start of the season, holiday breaks, all star break. Its like they come back and forget how to give 100%.
Personally feel the 4th line has been missing lots of speed and firepower. Nuge was invisible on ice, team defense was just Pickard’s goaltending…sloppy game from Oilers today. Regroup and play discipline full 60-minute games. There’ll be some tough matches coming up in January…better wake up from back to back tough losses…
Nurse is -3, stood around not defending. This is what the Oilers pay 9.25M x 8 for this kind of performance ( could clear the puck 2 times turning over the puck and ended up the puck in the net. A mediocre defenseman with an elite salary that no team wants. I would trade for him even if the Oilers ear 50% salary. Some teams may be interested If the Oilers add 4 1st round picks to deal him.
it used to be so much fun to watch the Oilers . . . I miss the "McDavid does the impossible" plays. There does not seem to be any intelligence from the coach or GM. Same plays, poor trades, no improvements, no innovations. Sad

WHY? cause the trainer is too soft, doesn't know how to demand and motivate. When the team motivates themselves they play well. When it depends on a trainer to wake up the team or correct weaknesses, nothing happens. Some of Knoblauch's decisions are very questionable to say the least.
Our bottom 6 is old soft and slow bring up Savoie leave Janmark and brown ditch the rest also bring in some people that throw a body check it’s embarrassing when you get out hit every game .
