  1. Awesome game. Knocking off the reigning champs then the Lightning in two days is really encouraging. I'm liking the contributions of the 3rd & 4th lines especially a rejuvenated Gally. The whole team seems to have turn a corner since the Pittsburg game and are playing much better together as a unit. Thanks guys.

  2. Sell high! Remember last year trade of Matheson while he was HOT? Ah sorry it didn't happen… trade Armia and Evan NOW while their HOT. We're rebuilding…time to turn to guys like Beck, Hage, …

  3. I thought Jesse had an open book under his chin at the start ! … big games to get rolling on … keep winning and the rest sorts itself out

  4. I loved it when Jake was asked by the reporter if he’s playing his best hockey, and Jake said that he thought he could still play better. The whole team is playing well – all four lines – and our defence and goaltending have been solid!

  5. This Habs team is starting to gel ..Players are learning their roles and showing some grit ..!! Laine is a huge add …Carrier trade is really paying big dividends…!! Keep the momentum going ..!! DOBES ..How about ANOTHER …ZERO ..!!!

  6. There were 3 holes in the lineup that had to be addressed :
    1. fire power for the first or second line – much improved with Laine who sets an all time NHL record 8 consecutive games power play goals
    2. backup goalie upgrade – they give Dobes a chance and he aces it with a shutout against the SC winning team
    3. an experienced defenseman – they brought in Carrier who matches so well with Ghule
Now that management has addressed these issues , suddenly everyone on the team starts forechecking and playing with more intensity.
If Jake Evans is willing to give a small "home town discount" I'd sign him in a heart beat .
Montreal is on the radar of a few players in the league who are thinking " this team is on the rise and I could be part of it ".
Now prove everyone wrong and fight for a playoff position … Go Habs Go …

  7. Only bad decision this new leadership is guilty of is not picking Mitchkov. Imagine…

  8. Do not undersell the effect that the acquisition of Alex Carrier has had on this team’s success. As important as Laine on the power play.

  9. Now the talent is starting to show the hustle to loose pucks winning board battles this team is really starting to develop chemistry it is really awesome to see way to go Habs let's keep it going go Habs go

  10. I would offer Seattle a pick and Dvorak for Gourde. Then try to sign Gourde for the hometown discount. Use the money we save, to sign Evans.

  11. Hey! Great work guys, i love your enthusiasm. Positive suggestion: Zoom your score boxes bigger. I barely sees the stats on my Ipad, let alone on my phone. We don’t need the blured crowd backdrop so much as we need to see the numbers your talking about 🙂

  12. Evans is an elite 3 rd line shutdown centre and elite Penalty killer. If you are going to win the Stanley cup you need one of these guys. They just need to surround him with more talent . Demidov is going to be a big step in that direction next year.

  13. Thats what happend when everyone is in the good "chairs" and we are healthy… The addition of Carrier solidify our defense having one vets playing with a young guys

  14. What a fantastic weekend of hockey. Anderson really playing well, using size and speed, bowling opponents over outskating defenseman to get to loose pucks negating icings with speed and hustle. Carrier the steal of the season.

  15. finally the team is where we expected them to be at the start of the year and finally a W against Tampa

WHY is an away game in TAMPA BAY BLACKED OUT IN NEWFOUNDLAND. MAKES ZERO SENSE

  16. 5 goals in 5 games. Are you kidding me? Evans is having a great year and his line has been the best lately…

  17. I'm curious when was the last time any team went into Florida and came out with two wins in back-to-back nights. And both by 3 or 4 goal margins?

  18. I bin newhooks biggest critic , but i will also give credit where credit is do, he has played 2 good games in a row for the 1st time since hes bin in montreal

  19. I really hope Hughes and Gorton sign Jake Evans to an extension…they need to keep him….a 1st round pick (non top 5) is insufficient in trade for him now I think. I would have never guessed the Habs would not only win this game vs the Bolts, but also noticeably outshoot them in their own building. Habs for most part did a lot of good little things to contain the Bolts for the most part, like blocking the slot late in the game.
