  1. I am not concern too much about habs from the current and future the had just hutson and carrier under 6'2

  2. It’s simple, they want to get returns on Savard and Matheson trades at the deadline. If you’re a team that thinks you’re a veteran D-man away from contending for a cup you’ll give up a lot, which is where the Habs benefit.

  3. Good analysis, I agree with that person's opinion that the added cap space is a positive from the Preds side of view but Barron will be a liability in their own zone.
Carrier is clearly the better player, he should be better at defending in our own zone which was Barron's main weakness because of his lack of physical play.
Barron was also expendable in Montreal because of the other upcoming right handed D's (Reinbacher, Mailloux).

  4. Barron could be worked to be a top 4, as he is 6-2 210Lbsm, great skater, offensive talent, and this year's stats have him really improving in shots blocked shots and hits. Habs have so many D prospects, this is great for Barron to build fresh and learn from Josi and crew, away from the Habs hype-town. Habs have issues developing young D with their hybrid team D concept. One hopes that their other young prospects won't be tossed out like Sergechev, Romanov, Juulsen who have developed well after the Habs sent them packing.
