I'm a Sens fan and I'm still fearful that the Rangers will rebound back to early-season form. They looked SO good for the first 25 games or so.

Seattle lost the trade. Seattle is a team where players go to die. Seattle doesn’t have a great coach. A terrible team. And the General Manager is horrible. And he doesn’t know what he’s doing
Lafreniere won't be the guy. He needs to be the guy in the background and let his line mates do all the work and keep attention on them so he can get opportunistic goal chances. Watch his play he is a puck watcher without the it, and always looks to get rid of the puck when he has a chance to skate with it.
Trouba's a bottom six who should be healthy scratched against fast teams.

Kakko feels like a player they were convinced they didn't want to "sell low" on but the longer the held him the lower his value got. This is why I never understand the sentiment that "you don't sell low." You move a guy who doesn't fit as soon as you can. Cause their value usually doesn't go up. And on the slim chance it does go up, you're not going to want to move them anyway cause they've proven to be a fit. Lol. Kakko has had trade rumors swirling him for years. They should have moved him last year. But hey, the got a pretty good package for a 3rd line player. Borgen I think has solid top 4 upside. Nothing world changing, but he can play fringe top 4 and you like the minutes he gives. If they can re-sign him on the cheap the deal is actually a pretty solid win for them. Borgen was on a lot of trade lists.
Drury wasn't fan of Kakko… I wonder if it had something to do with fact that Kakko made gwg in 2019 WJC final… And some other Drury was in losing team…

Kakko is going to impress as a player. he was a solid 3 zone player and if given time he will play well.. is he aa GREAT player no.. but he will be a top 6 and not be an issue in the D zone.. which the Rangers NEED
Trouba is way worse than these guys realize. He didn’t look like an nhl player for a lot of this season
