  1. Pellikka is going to be an amazing qb on the pp one day soon & I hope Cossa becomes that elite goaltender, Wings still have a lot to look forward to soon, hopefully lol

  2. Detroit fans: What is sandin-pellika’s defensive ceiling? I’ve heard all the Hughes and makar comparisons and as a Hutson fan I get that. But Hutson, for example, is underrated defensively and could become that #1 offensive dman who is also very good to elite in their own zone, like a makar or Hughes. Does axel have that same ceiling? Or does he project more like an Evan Bouchard, a little bit of a liability here and there in his own zone, but elite offensively?

  3. The star power factor is the biggest issue rn. Historically, you’d like to see a top-6 of impact forwards, top-4 of great D-men and 2 tendies.

    1. Cat-Kasper-FA/Trade
    2. Buch-Larkin-Raymond
    DEF
    1. FA/Trade-Seider
    2. Edvinsson-ASP
    Goalie
    1. Cossa
    2. Augustine

12/12 of that list will be in Detroit to start the 2026-2027 year. Only half are on the regular roster today.

  4. retain max, trade with 20-25th place team (hope they tank to give us a 10-20 pick) – what do we get? 1st or a 2nd? we don't have much else to offer really, would love to get rid of the overpaid older players (retain salary if only 1 year left max) and let the kids in GR get some time, drop to the lowest spot we can, might as well go for one last top pick? (1a 1b centre?) the season is done…. want to move the plan on, but this year is busted already. maybe the year we don't expect to do well in the draft is the year we move UP in the lottery…. you never know 😀

  5. The guy wanted to be in Detroit. Be respectful and talk to the guy near the deadline. If we wants to be on a contender until the end of the season, trade him, retain salary if needed. If he wants to stay in Detroit, keep the guy and decide his future in the offseason. It's not like we are getting a ton of assets for our future if he's traded…

  6. Trading Kane would open cap space, so another contract can be eaten up in another trade for another high salaried veteran forward or defenseman ,to be traded in a second trade.

  7. He was the difference last year ! The team has been terrible from day one ! Terrible system and maybe if people can put the puck in the net he would have 20-25 assists ! He has earned the right to move on if he wants !
