Recap: San Diego Gulls vs Bakersfield Condors, 12.28

The San Diego Gulls fell short in a hard-fought 5-3 loss to the Bakersfield Condors on Saturday night. Despite a strong second-period surge that saw the Gulls erase a two-goal deficit with goals from Jan Myšák, Nathan Gaucher, and Sam Colangelo, the Condors capitalized on special teams and late opportunities to seal the victory. Bakersfield opened the scoring early in the first period with goals from Connor Carrick and Lane Pederson, the latter on the power play. The Gulls’ second-period comeback was highlighted by Myšák’s quick strike just 42 seconds in, assisted by Colangelo and Sasha Pastujov, who each posted multi-point games. However, Bakersfield regained control in the third period, with power-play goals from Drake Caggiula and Noah Philp, followed by Pederson’s second tally to secure the win.
