problem Boeser is UFA after this season, the Sabres would never make that deal cause there is zero return and they would be taking on an even bigger cap hit..much better off to hold on to Byram till the deadline and get a far more secure return..that's if they move out Byram to begin with
At this point, I'd be good with Kevyn Adams trading anyone but Rasmus Dahlin for the proverbial bag o pucks.

Good for Laine! He was a Beast in World Junior Hockey and it is great to see him starting to rise again to his true hockey potential!
Rempe hit didn't look that bad. Penalty for sure but it wasn't a hard hit. No worse than the Reeves hit on Nurse.
20 games suspension. Mike this is not the 1980s.

Iād put 30% of the blame on Lalonde and the rest on Yzerman and ownership. Almost making the playoffs last season was the worst thing for the rebuild coupled with awful roster management. They need a change but Yzerman wonāt make any.
Rempe is the worst player in the NHL. Why is he in the NHL? He doesn't have any skills. He is a 4th line goon. I hope he is suspended for a long time.

Re: Rempe: terrible & dangerous hit to the head. I feel bad for the kid. The dye is cast….he's a fighter and the worst type of fighter…a goon who can't really compete at the NHL level. And….he's not even that good of a fighter….Olivier dropped him like a bad habit. Deslauriers held his own against him. Others have beaten him. So…..what is his value???? Not much…in fact….I would argue he is a detriment to the team. I bet he gets minimum of 5 games this time.
Re: Laine: Boooyyyyaaahh!!!! Keep it up Patrick. A week ago Habs were 10 pts out of 2nd wildcard spot….after tonight's pounding of Red Wings for their 3rd "W" in a row they are only 5 pts out. Laine is a MAJOR reason for the turnaround and he has made everyone around him better. A friend complained Caufield's goal production has dropped…yes BUT….his assist # is climbing bigtime. Seems he & Hutson are assisting on most of Laine's PP goals.

I never thought I'd say this but, do the Leafs really wanna screw with the third line after seeing how effective they are with each other? That has been the Leafs most consistent and hard working line since Berube threw them together.

The problem with Buffalo is Lindy Ruff. What on earth did they see in New Jersey with a young Devils team that made them say he is our guy? This should cost Adams and Ruff his job.

Bowen Byram for UFA Brock Boeser is ridiculous and stupid. It would have to be a sign and trade at the least.
JT Miller for Bowen Byram (+ a contract maybe) and the Sabres win the trade. Canucks get rid of Miller and get their guy.

Problems in Buffalo run deeper than one trade at the deadline. This team has been "made over" multiple times since their drought began. All to no avail.

Rempe is a waste of a roster spot. He provides nothing.
As for Vancouver, trading Pettersson is a rare opportunity for a GM to undo a $93M contract. Benning couldn't undo the OEL trade, but Allvin could undo the Pettersson mega deal with a trade.
No need to apologize for looking tired. We appreciate your hard work. I know some complain about you covering rumors. Living in the states I donāt hear a lot about what the reports in Canada have to say so keep grinding.
If Byram has no interest in signing long term in Buffalo ( RFA this summer) and he wants to be a free agent in the summer of 2026 then the Elias Pettersson and a draft pick for Byram & Cozens would be a better deal for Buffalo. Gives the Sabres a legit number 1 centre and Pettersson wouldnt have a problem going to the Sabres as he and Dahlin are good friends. With the big riff between JT Miller and Pettersson Vancouver might be interested in moving him.
That cross check on Matthew's rib was insane man š¤¦š¾āāļø and Rempe is on sum next shit he needs to slow down smh
