Head up. Feet moving. Feel your edges. Push through your thighs, not just your calfs. I swear, watching these guys NOT dig in is almost like coaching Bantam again. Of course, no coach ever won a hockey game unless they were PLAYING too, like Sid Abel and Doug Harvey but that was pre-salary cap.
Looking at McLellan's track record, I don't see where he turned a team around and made it a perennial Cup contender. I see slight up ticks for a year or two and then a downward trend and a departure. It would be nice to see a coach from a land that gave us our last two playoff captains or the land that gave us the Russian Five.
I pray in Jesus' name, that Todd McLellan is the Head Coach the Red Wings need to win a Stanley Cup. Please, Lord Jesus Christ, please help Steve Yzerman and this team! We believed in 1998, help us believe in you once again with your heavenly gifts of Grace, and Victory over the Spiritual Warfare stopping this.
