  1. i am a habs fan one thing to take into consideration is that they had a easier schedule. lets give the players and staff credit that they won the games they did, but they still had wins mostly against none playoff teams.

  2. Let's not forget that MSL has had naysayers after him all his playing career , he beat the odds and the naysayers by never giving up on himself or his talent level . If he can give his players his understanding on what it takes to compete in the NHL on a daily basis this team will only grow as individuals and as a team !!! And let's not forget that if players don't want to have that compete level the Hughes-Gordon part of the team will make the necessary changes .

  3. If you look at the top teams in the league, the defense gets the puck out of their zone very quickly and the their forwards are back to receive the puck. Everything flows, passes are crisp and fast.
That's what the Habs need to strive for if they want to be a top team. I live in Toronto and saw Leafs vs Jets and I can tell you Morrissey one of the main reasons the Jets are a top team.

  4. I would have to say that the ceiling for Marty behind the bench is really, really high. I think one of the overlooked things regarding MSL is that you gotta respect him as a player. His reputation for off-season workout and straight passion for the game is the stuff of legend in the league. Maybe he has a bit of Torts in him, which makes sense, but I think he is a bit more teachable and that he is more of a player's coach than Torts was early on. The Habs need to just give him the Jon Cooper reigns and make sure they build to his idea of winning hockey.
