Happy to see him get to peak form
That so againts carolina was absolut banger, but those .950+ numbers are must be againts those teams
As a die hard B's fan I gotta say we miss him bad
Played a lot of bad teams.
As a sens fan I always believed Ullmark was the best goalie available through Trade or FA since the last year. Was beyond joyful when we acquired him. Ullmark is elite.
What are the main factors for the Senators' improvement this year?
Short answer:
The entire team is playing better plus all key exogenous factors seem to be lining up in the team's favour. Also, it would be fair to say that each of the many key factors has equally impacted the team in a positive way (rather than a single overwhelming factor driving the team's success).
Long answer:
(1) Ullmark looks more comfortable playing under the Sens' system and the team looks more comfortable playing in front of Ullmark (i.e., the chemistry is better now than earlier in the season).
(2) The forwards are consistently back checking and playing better team D than ever before. As an example, Stutzle actually looks like a solid 200 foot player.
(3) The team has got lucky with their health. Every year I expect Norris, Chabot, Zub and/or Pinto to be injured. This year only Zub has missed significant time.
(4) Staios has made very good personnel moves. The bottom 6 look more solid from a team defence stand point. Also, getting Jensen & Ullmark look like great moves. Jensen is the only player who has been able to compliment the play of Chabot (since Chabot joined the team 8 seasons ago).
(5) Younger players like JBD, Kleven and Ostapchuk have taken a step forward in their development. Older players like Gaudette (13 goals) have been contributing as well.
As a sense fan i believe in ullmark even at thecstart of the season
I'm positive the Sens have a really good chance on getting into the playoffs. I feel it really all depends on how they're gonna perform on this 9 game road trip starting tonight vs the Kraken
Dude I’ve started to call him WallMark🚪 he’s definitely looking Vézina worthy again he’s helping Ottawa maintain their WC spot🔥
Dude I’m a die hard Sens fan. Thanks for the honest review, no sour grapes from a divisional opponent. Respect
Annnnnd he's got another shutout lol
We love Ulmark in Ottawa. Gives us hope for the future. New owners have put this franchise back on track
Way to impress with Ulmark he has been so much fun to watch. Glad to have him on our team.
Not just as incredible play, his leadership, confidence and swagger has been a pleasant surprise in Ottawa.
I think we get in or just miss out by a point but man has Ullmark been good.
Ottawa is far from a bad team, they were just missing goaltending
And he just pitched another shutout last night. Swedish Beast Mode.
Man, i wish the bruins had a goalie like Ullmark
With 3 shutouts on the season so far, ullmark surpasses his previous season high, about 3/8ths of the way through the season. 3 shutouts in 22 games is about 4.5 times higher than his career average before this season of 1 shutout in about 31 games. If he keeps this up, at the rate hes going, he may end up with 8-10 on the year, which puts him squarely with the best of his contemporaries (vasilevski, price, bobrovski)
We miss him in Boston, glad he's happy and doing well in Ottawa tho.
