Primeau had more than enough time to earn a job with the Habs. It can be said that the Habs didnt give him a better team in front of him, but Monty has proven to be a capable NHL Goalie during the same time period. Primeau will likely get claimed in spite of his disappointing record this season. No need to keep 3 goalies; it was a disaster last time they tried it. Maybe a change of scenery will help.

Primeau had every opportunity to establish himself. He had a chance to become he starter with Price Retired*. Couldn't even become a reliable backup. I hope Dobas makes the best of all these back to back games coming up.

The game in Sunrise is going to tough. Habs have not won in that building in 6 years. Think everyone knew Primeau would be waived for awhile now.

So they sat Laine because the Columbus players were trying to hurt him. Where is the NHL on this. So is it open season on players. If the Habs play the oilers, just try to hurt him. The Oilers will pull him from the game. What is stopping other teams from going after Laine , so the Habs will pull him. What the hell is going on. Shouldn't the NHL fine Columbus coach or the team. Shouldn't Marty have sent Xhekaj and Anderson to go send a message. I am sure Florida are going to come after the Habs Saturday afternoon.

The boys rarely do well on this Florida road trip. Every year we think about going down to watch them and every year we decline. Hopefully they can muster up a win..

Habs slowly raising their standards and making decisions on who’s gonna be here, and who doesn’t. Two important moves in less than two weeks, before the mid-season mark. I dig it boys! Cannot WAIT to see demidov soon fellas….JACKED.
Taking a deep dive on Ivan Demidov's 1st career year in the KHL has been nothing short of everything the Habs management would of wanted. However, his year could of been so much bigger…. Right now as of Dec 27,2024, Demidov is tied for 3rd in Team SKA scoring and ONLY 11 pts out of the KHL league overall points lead…. He also leads Team Ska in plus-minus with a +19. The sad part, SKA has only let him average just 11 mins per game. He is playing 7 to 10 mins less per game then every KHL player he is among in pts production… Just imagine where he could be if he was playing a normal 18 to 20 mins per game??? Ivan clearly has been one of if not SKA's top forward. His two way game has been stunning and this at only 18/19 yrs old. Game in game out Ivan is driving the play when he is on the ice. He hits, he attacks the puck. Almost everytime he is on the ice he generates a scoring play or make a big defensive strip of the puck and turns it back up ice. Im almost 55 and never have been so excited about a Canadiens drafted player since Carey Price won MVP & Championships at the 2007 U20 WLD JRS & the AHL CALDER CUP!!!!!!! Lets hope we see Ivan put the bleu,blanc&rouge on sometime this March or April !!!!!!!!!

Primeau is a TERRIBLE goaltender and has been hurting the team since day one, and you have the audacity to be "surprised" that they waived him? Finally people are starting to see the light and lose the delusion.
Now i want to see Evans on the 2nd line. Except management retardation there's no excuse to have him play on the 4th and play him against the best on the other side. He's 3rd forward for points in the team i'd rather see him with Laine than a guy with 0 assist and one with 2 goals.
He deserve it and for some f'd up reason everyone is in a hurry to run him out of Montreal. Same as Lekhonen whoever pick him up gonna use him the right way and make us look stupid.

The issue hasn't been offense for 2 years now. They need to completely change the defense. We don't score because there's never that clean zone exit, or it's always in our net. Savard has been on the ice for 80% of the goals against. We need to keep Xhekaj. Strubble is inproving. Hudson will be god tier and he's already the best playmaker we have… the rest need to go.
