Carrier brings a polished level of professionalism from the outside that should influence the young picks when they come to the show. I hate to say it but it’s the “intangibles”.

I loved the trade as soon as i read it, carrier isn’t going to wow anyone but he is just SOLID! Exactly what this defence needed. I’m really hoping this is a set up to trade matheson, i like Matheson but some of the plays he does 3,4 times a game you can’t have your young d seeing that just total brain farts
Part of the fanbase wants Montreal to be in the mix right now whereas there are also fans which believe in this rebuildl so Montreal should tank to get better draft picks for the futur. The Carrier trade will surely improve the team "right now" but not necessarily the futur. Indeed, two defensemen under 175lbs on your starting lineup !!!
