Vasily Podkolzin Will Prove the Canucks Wrong

Is it just me or does Podkolzin look a bit like Toby Wallace…. lol…

Vasily Podkolzin scored his first goal as an Edmonton Oiler on November 23, 2024, against the New York Rangers. Drasaitl fed Podkozin with a pass in the slot and Vasily drained it post and in, a beauty of a goal. Hopefully, there will be more goals to come. There has been nothing but praise from the coach and from the star players for Podkolzin’s hard work and determination each and every time he is on the ice. He does the little things right even though he has not been lighting up the lamp. No wonder he has been elevated to the top six forward group. If Podkolzin can keep trending up, he will be a sure difference-maker in the Playoffs… Go Oilers…

  1. If you Like players that will not play defence anfd can not get along with their team mates then he is all yours. Tocchet gave him multiple chances but he just does not get it The Canucks are better off without nhim.

  2. Podz isn't a bad player but doesn't fit Tocchet's system defensively for the amount of offense that he produces. Too late of a bloomer for a cup contending team as well. Smart move by the Nucks and best of luck with him in Oil country.

  3. Podkolzin so far has made a positive impact for the Oilers. It may not show up so much in goals, but his relentless, forechecking and defensive ability as a forward, is a welcome addition to Oil Country. Believe he just lacked confidence when he was a Canuck. Only time will tell, but so far he has made a good impression on the coach, star players and Oilers fans.

  4. ??? Canucks fans love Pod, but his 200 ft game needs work and wasn't producing offensively even though he did work hard every game

  5. You make it sound like van didnt care about him lmao it wasnt like that at all podz was as far as im concerned a player van was excited about very much he just couldnt find a stable spot in the lineup and we didnt wanna do him dirty

  6. Podz isn't that great, but im sure hes glad to be out of van, laughing at van fans that think their contenders😂 Petey is a skronny perimeter player that the van based their future on haha

  7. If he becomes a 40-50 goal scorer in Edmonton later on, then Oil fans hit the jackpot. Podz definitely wasn't gonna do that in Vancouver. Also, if he sucks you can't put him on waivers cuz you'll lose him for free…
