    Thanks for making content for those of us that are treating this Wednesday like any other Wednesday. At the start of the season I chose my Eastern Conference team, the Devils, based on your power rankings. All I was hoping for was a team slightly better than the Kraken. I got much more than I asked for and I'm looking forward to the back half of the season.

    I got exactly what I wanted for Festivus, I spent the whole day in my pajamas and robe with my cats binging on all the tv shows I've been meaning to catch up on (I highly recommend Earth Abides about the human population reduced to a handful of survivors living in a San Jose suburb slowly being reclaimed by nature over the course of the main character Ish's lifetime). I was invited to a couple family dinners, as I am every year because it's polite to ask, I politely decline and my Aunt Jan brings me a huge leftover food package on Cardboard Box Appreciation Day, my cats love that holiday. I like my family but only in small doses and not all at once.

    I just hope my team (Ducks) can stay as close as possible to .500. We're not a playoff ready team atm, so we gotta do what we gotta do (and perhaps keep praying for the following year to be somewhat better)

    I have one thought for Vancouver to fix their defense: they can trade for Ivan Provorov from the Jackets, sending back Nils Hoglander and a first, plus another pick or 2 for Hoglander's future cap hit

    Quite the difference for Jets as the NHL writers have Jets at #1 in this weeks super 16 rankings. Also interesting the surprises this yesr with so many teams. Nice to see the Wild doing well, even though they are our competition. We have beat thrm 3x this year.
