Put Matthews on LTIR and trade for a couple defenceman who play playoff style hockey. The Leafs defence is not good. Matthews can rise from the injured like Stone and others before him for the playoffs.
Schenn would be a great add. When Tanev gets back you have a formidable D. Reilly should be traded because he just doesn't play sound defense.
Reilly is a -10 worst on team by a landslide . He needs to be better and held accountable. $7.5 million per year is way to high for what he is playing like this year .
Time to trade Mathews, Marner and Tavares.
2 weeks ago I wanted a 2nd or 3rd C. But with Reilly not playing well (-9) and Timmons and Benoit haven’t been as good last few games im starting to think they need a top 4 Dman for Reilly . Tanev and McCabe have been the best pairing in league arguably so I think a Dman is more important then a forward as of right now
They need some offense on D, I don't think they'll move for schenn

I think Luke schenn would be a great fits he works well with Morgan rielly he's physical and that a good price is Toronto management is smart they would bring him back he's the perfect fit

I was telling everyone around me before the season began, Leafs should have considered trading Reilly. I saw his decline, his age and his 7.5mil contract and was thinking it would be a great way to make cap space.
Too late now that hes sitting at a -10.
