Yes, it's discouraging to lose so many close games. The positive thing is our prospects are developing, we have cap space, and we aren't too far from really competing again.
We will lose as long as Jones is on this team.

If I am a contending NHL club, I would not be looking for the services of Maroon. Tradeable pieces may only be a Murphy or Hall.. I wish we could unload number 4. TJ Brodie and Maroon would be depth pieces at best. Kershy may benefit from a new home. He is a good player, but needs to get his head on straight and just play. Sometimes we lose our confidence and need to clear our head. He has had a chance to do that. Time to bring him back.
Davidson needs to trade some of his draft stock to get this team legitimate offensive players. It’s painful watching them control the puck 5 on 5.
A stat that I came across that really makes me want to move Reichel around or sub in someone else for Anderson is that Lukas hasn’t had a shot on goal in 6 games. Joey and Maroon have combined for 15 in those 6. So Reichel is obviously setting up plenty of chances for his line mates, he just has no one that’s giving it to him and setting him up for those scoring chances. Don’t let reichels point total fool you, in the last handful of games alone he should have a few more assists, he just needs better support around him. If smith isn’t back next game, I would like to see Kurashev get in for Anderson
