OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings. The Habs won this game by a score of 4-3 and while Lane Hutson had a rough time in his own zone at times.. He also redeems himself in the 3rd period, and is directly responsible for the Habs win! Lane gets the Last Laugh. Lets break this one down!

Lane huston is cheating his way right now to the calder, ie using patty the sniper as his cheat code, and I love it. This week we've seen 2 things, a Steal of a deal and a little bit of thievery against us. Justin Barron deal, ehhhhh not what alot of us were hoping for tbh, but carrier seems to be a reliable 2nd pair D that can help eat up some minutes. But the Laine deal, justs goes to show what happens when you got a person that wants to be there and a team that wants to support him. Love to see it, AND we got a 2nd rounder just for icing on the cake. GO habs go!

The habs have beaten ONE playoff team >>EDM which IDK EDM played really bad like they were not interested at all.Edm has started last year and this really bad and so happens this was the last of the EDM slump which I stated would happen they would turn it around.EDM was 1 game above .500 and are now 8 games above .500 so yeah imo the habs got lucky catching EDM right at the end of their slump.
Laine's GAME is not very good but he is getting a lot pf praise for his shot on the PP.
SO I know how people have been raving about Hutson but I will show you why stats need to be looked at deeply and not just looking at how many points someone has.
So I will describe what is going on with Hutson he is getting similar to Slafkovsky last year WAY more ice time and PP time than most rookies ever do in the history of the NHL.
Hutson is averaging 22:35 per game compared to say Stankovan who is at 15+ mins a game.Hutson leads ALL rookies in ice time per game.Cellebrini leads PP time I believe Hutson is second for rookies.
Here is the biggie nobody likes to see Hutson leads the entire NHL rookies with minus 16.Yes I am very well aware of stats and how they can be skewed no need to tell me but what really bothers me is when people say a bad stat doesn't mean anything but a good stat 100% means something lol.This is called bias only willing to see the positive like living in a bubble.
Not saying I had anything to do with it but I was sitting in the lower bowl last night directly inline with Arbers goal while proudly sporting my wifi shirt…what an exciting night…been all in on Arby since day one just like you Junkie!

Lane Hutson had the good and the bad today, but what I love about his game is that while he is raw, young and inexperienced on the top level, he has the confidence to try the unsafe play, to try to force opportunities. Now's not a bad time to get some mistakes in and learn from those, to get the important experience he needs to iron out those mistakes. In a couple of years he'll have an offensive touch only few in the league can match
Is it me or had it been quite some time since the last back-to-back win ? Feels real good, we should do that more often ^_^
Also, you gotta feel for the Wings, 2 last games last year they got Hutson humiliating their best vets and now they lose these two games, being quite obliterated in the second. All that in the very last year in which the Yzerplan is supposed to finally start coming to fruition before the addition of just a few potential key youngsters like Cossa (or maybe even Augustine), Brandsegg-Nygaard & Sandin-Pelikka and it's just not clicking. These kids were supposed to be cherrys on top, they'll end up having to help carry the whole cake.
Habs are over playing Hutson. Matheson is the better defenseman. It’s about the show, I get it. But, Hutson is under developed. He gave up two goals. Unsat….
Columbus got scammed. Jordan Harris is basically doing nothing. Meanwhile, Laine is doing a lot better than we would’ve expected

Laines ability to score has given the team a boost of life and confidence. Lots of guys are starting to play at high level. first line chemistry of last year is starting to return bring Slaf to life, Jake Evans is a beast, Hutson-laine connection on the pp unstoppable. Montembeault playing the best he ever has and is still improving? Fuck, even the old boys Dvorak, Gallagher and Anderson are playing good.
