@Vancouver Canucks

He just showed EVERYONE what he is capable of…

The Vancouver Canucks beat the San Jose Sharks in a close game. Elias Pettersson with 2 goals, JT Miller set him up. Quinn Hughes had a good game as usual. This was the final game before the Christmas Break, it was Macklin Celebrini’s first time against the Canucks.

  1. it does, shows how willing he is to hurt the whole team and fan base just cuz he's being pissy with a team mate when you see what he could be doing most games but doesn't. Such a shame with his talent level that he can't be more of a team first guy but some people just aren't wired that way I guess

  2. Can the media just stfu now. Their BS is kinda embarrassing. Let the boys play

  3. I was wondering why I couldn't watch the game on my PAID sportsnet account. i dont have prime anymore, what the actual fuck.

  4. lol a juicy rebound directly on his stick and a 5 on 3 goal,, i mean nice that he scored but not exactly a "breakout game" imo….time will tell

  5. Oh wonderful just like last year in the playoffs he’ll be invisible for meaningful games and then show everybody promise that that $12 million contract by scoring some meaningless scores in a meaningless game

  6. prime is far superior to rogers. the product is much more polished. i was wondering how the game callers would do but they called a good game. huggy played injured? ahhh, that's why he only got 2 points. petie was great. nice to see hoglander have a good game. taking dak longer to find his game than i thought it would. christmas is always better going into it with a win. celebrini played half the game. they really wanted him to score in vancouver.

  7. The more and more games we play the more I hate tocchets system, why do we want to just sit on leads, like this shit won't fly in the playoffs with this defensive core

  8. Showing the game on prime is a beauty! Paying for nhl app or disgusting cable is something almost nobody does now. Hopefully prime shows more games

  9. Couldn't watch it. We're seniors and can't afford to send part of our pension to Jeff Bezos. Thanks NHL for selling my team to a US streamer.

  10. Rooting for the downfall of the nucks.. this fan base is the biggest trash walking gods green earth.. ur all bandwagon fans n deserve nothing when it comes to hockey

  11. Relax, one game! Good to see others step up in the physical roll, D was quicker, was 4-1 , finished 4-3. Good game.

  12. Was cool to see them warm up and stuff on prime but other than that, the commentators didn’t really keep me engaged. I actually fell asleep during the beginning of the second period, partially due to how slow the game was at the time. Nothing can compare to the original commentators though, John shorthouse, Dan Murphy, etc. I grew up hearing those guys

  13. I agree I really like the Prime broadcasts honestly I think they just have to move more hockey to prime to make it a better deal to people who don’t currently have prime

  14. Anyone notice all the sneaky work hogsy does during the game I notice him a lot being good on the boards and sneaking his was through situations I know he doesn’t have the points but I do see consistent good work anyone with me ?

  15. That was absolutely goalteender interference. But nothing new this season with the refs handing Ls to the sharks

  16. Made the mistake of thinking I could go back and watch a Prime game that has already aired. Well, great. I mean why wouldn't they let the game be available for 24 hours after. Thanks, Prime! How gracious.
I'm going to stop ordering at Amazon!!!… said nobody in 2025

  17. Why are we worshipping Petterson after last night's game? He had a gimme trailing goal and a 5 on 3 power play goal. I feel no other team in the league talks about how great someone is after a game like that… look I like Petterson and think he has the potential to be a great player but that was really just an okay game for him. They're still being carried by Hughes and the bottom half of their roster

  18. Announcers were the only downside to the broadcast, very American. A few botched sayings like Hughes "has the puck on a stick" instead of a string. A scrum in front of the sharks net had the announcer saying "more like first and ten" which I think he meant to say "first and goal" but even still why are you making an NFL reference in a hockey game. There was a great slap pass attempt by Desharnais and they dismissed it as just a terrible shot attempt.

The Prime player was annoying too. I like to skip back and forth occasionally, and any pause or skip required a multi-second reload of the stream.

  19. Petterson is capable of a lot he just doesn’t care about the game enough same with Laine

  20. Refs definitely did not call a penalty on Myers for that hit.
Soucy took a penalty before the hit and then Forbert take a penalty after the hit for tripping

  21. Unless you've been living under a rock, everyone already knows what EP's capable of — the problem is that he's rarely reached that potential since mid-season last year. WAAAY too early to proclaim that he's back.

  22. A touch sensational but agreed, hopefully a step toward earning his paycheck.. if he is not broken..

  23. Prime Comentators sucked. They talked through a penalty and never said anything about it… just talking nonsense. In the break, the two women didn't seem too engaged into it (could have been me). I wish for Cheech to come back! Shorthouse is awesome!!
Our boys need this break. Sad that Hogs couldnt buy a goal last night… so close!

  24. I forgot to weigh in on the Amazon Prime question. I never watch the period break stuff so I can't comment on that, but I thought the play-by-play and commentary was pretty bad. Yes I know we're spoiled but I did not like the announcers at all in any way, shape, or form.

Interesting question if EP 40 is out for a similar length of time as Miller, how do you think the team is going to do? Will we do as well as we did when Miller was out?

Of course I hope EP 40 isn't hurt but I'm almost waiting for the haters to say that he's soft and should have finished the game.
