  1. The schedule makers HATE the sens because they probably have the single hardest schedule in the league until February.

  2. like you i am a fan of more than one team. vancouver first, ottawa second, winnipeg third, and colorado (by way of the nordiques) fourth. i would love to see ottawa do something this year. they are playing well enuf to get into the playoffs. let's hope they can keep it up and knock the leafs out in the first round. (smirk)

  3. Not sure… Guess we'll see if they can hang in the playoff picture. Sure would be great for the city of Ottawa who's been starved to playoff hockey for seven years! If they can stay healthy, it's possible, but Hammer on the top pairing probably isn't a long-term solution if they have playoff aspirations. Love the guy, but he's not a top pairing or even top four defenseman.

  4. What a god awful schedule.. keep in mind we also play 8 of 9 on the road to close the season. 4-1-4. The league hates us.

Edit… apparently I'm an idiot and flipped the schedule.. the league loves us!!!

  5. They have a much better chance than my Rangers. Another pathetic performance from them today. I don’t know what’s going on with them this season.
Has there ever been a team that was so good one year and down right horrendous the next.

  6. I can see the downfall of the Sens if their goalies do not get better soon. Ullmark injured and so is Forsberg. Leevi is not NHL ready yet..

  7. A back to back with the Jets and Wild is rough. Stars might be a win. Blues and Red Wings should be a win. Buffalo and Pens should be a win. The two games agains the Caps might be losses. Islanders will probably be a win. Same with the Rangers. Devils depends on which team shows up. Bruins might be rough and the Leafs might be rough. Utah? Who knows. I'm counting maybe 6 to 7 losses. On paper. That doesn't that won't happen. Sens could run the table

  8. I kinda hope that Calgary , Vancouver and Ottawa keep playoff spots so we can have 6 out of 7 Canadian teams in the playoffs.

  9. There will be a shift in gears to the tempo of the game in February. Do the Sens have the depth to support this shift? The season is a marathon and we have not quite reached mid season. I would like to see Ottawa make the playoffs. I am Canadian.

  10. Hamonic has a full NMC so he won't be going anywhere, he's here until the end of the year and then he's probably just gonna be done at the end of the year. Forsberg could be traded for a draft pick to get cap space for a top 6 winger since he's likely not gonna be resigned anyway. They have Sogaard on a one way contract next year, he will likely be a much cheaper option behind Ullmark.

  11. If Ottawa has solved their goalie headache, they have a playoff team in my opinion. Ullmark hurt now ? Bad news.

  12. WHY SHANNON WHY!!!! hopefully this short Christmas break gives some time for the Voodoo to be passed along XD

  13. I am not an Ottawa fan but I've seen the knuckle puck beating Craig Andersen vs the Pens in game 7 replay in my head for years for some reason. I am rooting for them to do well!

  14. No, no, no… too soon! Gawd, you are trying to destroy all of my hope. It is a silent hope because if you voice it… jinx.

  15. Because of how the wildcards work, we could see a Washington Capitals versus Ottawa Senators first round matchup – the US capital city vs the Canadian capital city.

  16. I almost want to see a video based on the "when they where last in the playoffs" section showing what players are still active for Detroit and Buffalo.

  17. A lot of things have fallen in place and the players have finally settled into Travis Green's system. They've truly played their best hockey yet and the best for the Sens since 2017. They're also consistently competitive against top teams. It's hard not to be excited for this team, finally

  18. I feel like we ask this question every year, and so far it’s been a resounding, “NO!”

  19. As a Sens fan the Atlantic needs new blood making the playoffs would be way more exciting. Think of the narratives if Ottawa makes it… Battle of Ontario or the Tkachuk’s go at in a playoff round. sign. me. up!

  20. It all comes down to the second leg of the road trip they're on and Ullmark. If his back tweak is resolved by the end of the Christmas break, and the Sens can get 3 outta 5 on this second leg, I think it happens

  21. 3:33 If you think that’s remarkable, wait until you see who was on the team for Buffalo when they last made the playoffs! Lol 😅 Sorry Sabres fans…

  22. 3:33 If you think that’s remarkable, wait until you see who was on the team for Buffalo when they last made the playoffs! Lol 😅 Sorry Sabres fans…

  23. If gaudette is on a league minimum contract and ottawa is in a playoff spot, why would they want to trade him?

  24. Funny that last year, Detroit and Buffalo had a great start and fizzled out in the 2nd half. Ottawa had a bad first half and rocked it in the end. So now Ottawa is in a playoffs spot, will they do like Detroit and Buffalo and fizzle in the 2nd half or will they be like last year and rock the 2nd half?

  25. I really think this boils down to the rangers. If the Rangers can figure out what is going on with them after the break, I think they are good enough to take that final wild card spot. If they can't, figure this out and get out of their funk, then the Sens should get that spot.

  26. Nice run. Finishing ahead of Boston is not out of the question. The Rangers collapse and the Islanders problems have opened up the wildcard for a new entry. Buffalo being a tire fire pure them out of this picture and it's clear to more than just internet prognosticators that Detroit screwed their blueline in the off-season right now. Penguins are probably the only team below the playoff line that they have to truly worry about right now. Not a Sens fan, but as much as one last playoff for Sid is appealing, I'd rather see new blood in the playoffs.

  27. The way they do this is by not looking too far ahead, they just need to be solid and they can make it! 😎 Merry Christmas everyone 🎅🏻🎄

  28. OMG we are so cooked. Not only do we have two road trips in this span against good teams we have several several back to backs. I don't think we can survive more than one gauntlet tbh.

  29. Given that Giroux spent his teenage years in Ottawa, and is likely there to retire, I don't see Giroux being moved. That said, stranger things have happened.
