So why get rid of Carsley? Do we even need Tuchel?
Basically it was round pegs in round holes….. It just goes to show when we start trying to play "stars" out of position, it doesn't work! Also energy, it's key in the modern game. Our "luxury" players would work in a shite league but once up against genuine team work, class and quality they crumble. Id sooner see this team plays vs what we've seen recently, and these are effectively the best of the rest.
When we will realise we aren't Spain and use our pace and power to beat sides rather than playing out from the back with no busquets, xavi or left back lol

We would attack a lot better if Kyle Walker got sent off. Most negative player ive ever seen in an england shift. Scared to cross the ball, always asks for a pass and then runs back to his own half with it completely ruining the england attack

I swear whenever a manager is on the way out they suddenly have an amazing game. Must be all to do with psychology. Like when Man UTD suddenly improved when Solskjar was appointed interim manager but then sank back down again as soon as he was confirmed as the permanent manager. You can see it coming a mile off.
The football/six-man midfield played against Greece at Wembley did not work. That said, Lee Carsley has shown he could do the job.
Opportunity missed I think.
Tuchel will be the polar opposite defense over excitement. Did not want Carsley but almost anyone will give us more entertainment (on the pitch) than TT.

After listening to the bs history of 'Civilisation' you started with it became suddenly more difficult to take anything else you said seriously. The Greeks invented language? Mathematics? Lol. For the 1st goal, in fact all of them, you could of saved all your time, and just say they copied the Spurs method of playing out from the back, Ange ball, when it goes right, that is! That's exactly what we watch week in, week out at Tottenham. But the problem is, that soon afterward, teams know what's coming their way and adapt. But not Greece, I suppose!

Shut up Adam. I’ve studied football and I’ve studied philosophy and football has brought me closer to the gods than philosophy ever will (but it’s still a little bit useful).
So Carsley is just basically taking England through all the possible lineups that a) the public want and b) what the football nerds might consider innovative and refreshing before he hands over the reins, giving Tuchel and the squad a bunch of ideas to play with in 2025+.

Adam, why do you think Walker never crossed the ball in this game? Watkins isn't bad in the air and Walker had so many opportunities to cross but never did – any idea why?
The modern English and modern Greeks have almost nothing in common genetically with the great people who made those nations great. Your average England player doesn't even have English ancestry and the ancient Greeks were fair-haired 🤡
