  1. The team is missing a superstar. Building a team around a superstar is crucial. Superstars lead. Everyone sees how hard the star is working and that positive vibe causes others to put more effort in. They want to work hard to remain on the team. Superstars inspire players around them to be better. The Wings are missing that. The coach (whom I don't care for) can give speeches all he wants. Unless there is a star to lead, then it'll never work. Thank you for the continuous Red Wings coverage, Lego. Keep up the excellent work, dude!

  2. Trade Lyon while he still has some value, Keep Husso buried in the minors and let him walk after this season, and call up Cossa to backup/be famous 1B to Cam Talbot. Realistically its the best option going forward. You either hope it gives a spark or some stability in net and helps turn things around, or you embrace the tank, give Cossa valuable experience and then shed as many bad contracts as you can. That and fire Lalonde and bring in a new voice behind the bench. These are the hard but necessary choices Yzerman is going to have to make. Better now than later.

  3. There's a lot of things going on, and despite some draft success over the last five years… we're still very shallow. We lose a roster player? You have very little to work with. So while I appreciate and agree with Seider, I also don't blame the players. We lose a top two D, and we're cooked. We lose a top six F, and there goes our scoring. Did a hot player go cold? Then I guess you better pray to your deity of choice for help coping, because nothing else is doing any good.

  4. Seider needs a new nickname. Mo is not good. Should it be Apple Seider, Hard Seider, Seider Mill, Apple Seider Vinegar, or Seider and doughnuts/donuts?

  5. It's a majority of mediocre players coached by a mediocre coach. The results are pretty much as a reasonable person would expect. Look at Nashville this year. One would expect them to be much better also. It's a league where you seem to need more than half a dozen top end elite players plus an above average or better coach or else you are destined to be in the middle or lower part of the standings.

  6. Husso has never been good. The game they won against Buffalo was under .500 save percentage it was 7 shots 4 saves. He is very inconsistent, one game he'll do great the next game is chalked because he cant save shots

  7. Uninspired hockey being played (?) In Detroit. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, LR99, and a safe and Happy New Year. 🏒
