  1. Kaiser has a similar skillset to Allen, both left shot stay at home D men, but Kaiser is 6' 175# and Allen is 6'2" 190#.
The Hawks are loaded with high potential young D men and they won't be able to keep all of them, some will be valuable trade pieces down the road.
The sorting out process is happening now and ongoing.

  2. Kaiser to Rockford makes sense especially with Jones coming back. Not to mention how much competition there is at the position. Vlasic, Jones, Brodie, Allan, Murphy and Crevier look good, especially if Crevier improves. Not to mention all the defenseman in Rockford that will be competing for spots by next season. I hope they move on from Murphy when they bring up Levshunov!

  3. This year, d-men on trading block are Martinez, Broadie, Phillips, Crevier. KD will keep everyone else. I hope Phillips and Crevier stay but their play/development gives them trade value strait up or as sweetners.

  4. Question: as we enter the second half of the season what prospects could you see coming up and how can we make room for them? I know Safonov, Moore, and Greene are all forwards that will be free later in the year

  5. Sending Kaiser down is good keep him playing instead of sitting in the press box but God I hope there is a taker at the deadline for Jones because there’s going to be a huge log jam on defense and I don’t want to lose a younger player and still see Jones holding a spot never been a fan whatsoever

  6. Speaking of players going to AHL. Nazar isnt NHL ready yet. Looking OK, and theres a promising future. But hes getting manhandled like Korch last year. He has shot opportunities but defers to his teammates and play turns into nothing. Cute passes and plays may work in AHL but not up in NHL. Needs work on faceoffs. Totally in favor of him coming up, find out what his shortfalls are, but when Smith is healthy it MAY be wise to send Nazar back down till trade deadline.
