Got to see this one live from Section 227. Being right on top of Raks goal tonight is gonna be a memory I'll have forever.
Its a long season! If they keep playing like this they'll catch back up. If Sid really takes off id be afraid to play pittsburgh. I'm just hoping lol
Sid had a great game tonight but he does look sleepy out there at times. He hasn't looked as dominant so far as in previous seasons. Now is he pacing himself a bit… Maybe… With 4 Nations and The Olympics coming up plus wanting to be there in the second half of the season when it really matters he could be pacing.himslef a bit. And I have always loved that Sid has always been a guy that builds guys up rather than a goal scorers first but this team will not go far if Sid does not start burying. We have a real test Saturday against NJ
Malkin was unreal tonight. He had a few plays but that play where he flipped the puck up to himself and then tried to bat it forward to split the D and drew the penalty. Just unreal. If he had scored he would have brought the house down
Sid is definitely not in a slump when it comes to helpers he could have had 4 of them last night we actually got goalied last night tbh kuemper was unreal last night! The one goal by grieslak the feed from Sid he had eyes in the back of his head! Now in terms of actual goals yes he’s definitely in a bit of a funk rn.
Pens have been a different team since the jets game when Sid fought
Sid could've had about 4-5 points last night. The chances are there, they just aren't going right now and he made some ridiculous passes in the third period to set chances up, but Kuemper was making some really good saves for The Kings.
Really liked last night's game The King's are very stingy defensively and you have to be patient and stick with it against them, and the Penguins did just that.

it all depends on what is your definition of a slump ! for a goal scorer like crosby its called scoring goals which he hasnt been doing and that is just a fact . sid will be fine ! as a side note : rakells between the legs shot on goal should be on all highlights shows even if it didnt find the back of the net , not many players would or could even try that !
They actually LOOKED like an NHL team last night. Much more so than even the Habs thrashing. They played like pros, not the plaguing, beer-league puck movement and gaffs.
Kings are a good, structured team with a good big goalie but we outplayed them last night and looked good doing it!
Literally said when everyone was down for losing in Ottawa the other night that the four hottest teams in the east right now are Washington, Ottawa, Florida and Pittsburgh … all four are 7-2-1 over their last 10. And the Pens gave Florida one of their losses. The Pens are actually playing good hockey right now. Will it sustain? I don't know. Their defense and goaltending is still what it is. Just a scoring slump, still making plays and grabbing assists. He could've had 2 or 3 goals last night but kings goalie was feeling it
Good morning DK, well….I have to say that when I saw the highlights of last night's game, that amazing pass from Sid and to who for the tying goal??? First, I rejoiced, secondly I thought of you 😅😅😅😅😅 The way Sully loves the worst defenceman in hockey and yet after that goal……oh boy DK, if there's breaking news to the front page that says "Pens sign #24 to a 3 year 12-15 million dollar extention" God please have mercy on us Penguin fans (especially DK, he might not recover from this one) Just a little joke for you. Hope you had a laugh.
Hey DK, how do the Penguins keep giving up goals in the first minute/shot of the game? Is it just bad goaltending, lack of defensive structure on Sully’s part, or the players not being focused early on?
Sid "not scoring" is the least of my worries. HIS LINE IS SCORING!!! If his line wasn't scoring, it would be an issue.

Can we agree that <other than the first minute> the Pens played pretty solid D without Pettersson? Do you think that with all the trade rumors this is the ideal time to trade him especially if we continue to rack up more W's whilst he is recovering? I;m seeing the Pens as being a trade or 2 away from being a real playoff contender if they can just get some more grit in the lineup.

superstitious as this may sound, it seems every time I don't watch them they win, and play well. Or maybe they're just getting better like I knew they would.

The biggest difference to me over this last stretch is just that Karlsson and Letang have been better, not making as many egregious mistakes. And then the goaltending, mostly Jarry, has been better. Not great but decent. And with decent goaltending and the top two defensemen not being liabilities this seems to be at least a competitive team.
His shooting % is about half of what it was last year. Some of that is bad luck vs good luck. Much of it his the fact he’s 37. Age catches up to us all. He’s still a good playmaker. He’s just not a good goal scorer. Oh and it’s okay to criticize him by the way.
