  1. Glad he's ok. What a warrior, playing out the 2-on-1. You could tell when he was sitting on the bench that he was in la-la land. Wishing this kid the best of luck!

  2. The only player in the NHL is Connor garland started wearing a neck guard after that European hockey player got slashed with the skate blade

  3. Seeing Ray Barile clear the bench and lay him down like that with his head isolated… especially as confused as everything was on the ice at that moment. I think, like everyone, we were flashing back to the Bouwmeester incident and were afraid we'd see history repeat itself. I'm really glad he's okay and will be able to come back.

  4. Hi from Edmonton Dylan.
Kind of scary for sure. 😲😲Good to know you're going to be good to go in a day or two. 👍🏒🏒

  5. This kid is incredibly likeable and a real warrior on the ice. Never seen him take a shift off. These are the kind of guys you want wearing the bluenote crest for a long time.

  6. The puck must of hit the baroreceptors in his Carotid artery, caused immediate drop in blood pressure and causing slow heart rate, similar to a Choke hold

  7. I am so glad that Dylan Holloway is ok just praying though he is a true blues fan and he is tuff guy to when it comes to sports and other stuff

  8. I was at the game in 2000 when Trent McCleary of the Montreal Canadians got a slap shot in the throat. Still remember the sound, he almost died that night. Never played again, medical staff at these games are life savers. These athletes sure deserve the money they are paid. 🫡

  9. Great to hear the lad is feeling ok, he looked pale & whoozey there on the bench. All the best Dylan in going forward.

  10. Glad he’s ok, he seems like a very likable guy. This type of injury is one of my biggest fears as a hockey player, but we all take risks when we step on the ice.

  11. Blacking out is scary speaking from experience. I got in a wreck a year and a half ago and was hit by a car while looking for a spare tire. I blacked out on the ground on the side of the highway with severe head trauma and next thing I know my dad is there screaming at people to slow down before being loaded up into an ambulance. I don’t remember being in the ER much but I remember throwing up in the elevator afterwards and then I was in the ICU for 3 days. I’m honestly just thankful to be alive and I’m also glad that Dylan’s injury wasn’t as bad as mine. It’s good to see that he’s doing better and possibly ready to play in the next game ❤

  12. Really glad to see this video, puts in perspective what’s really important in this game, hope he lights it up for the Blues this season, just flying up and down the ice for the Oil in the playoffs last season with some highlight goals

  13. Not sure if a neck guard would help with this, but personally I think neck guards should be mandatory like mouth guards, it's a very venerable part of your body!

  14. He seems to meek to be a hockey player. That said he also seems like a hell of a great guy.

  15. The vagus nerve causes you to faint under extreme stress so you don’t have to experience suffering. Actually quite a merciful function

  16. Good to see you're all good. Would you consider some type of low profile neck protection? Kind of a freak accident though right, glad you're okay pal.

  17. There’s his bad karma for leaving Edmonton like that, let’s just hope he stays off the ice for two years
