Get Rempe out of the nhl
Rempe would have been great in the movie slap shot. But not in the NHL. He’s just in there to hurt someone.
With regards to the Vanecek injury, sometimes backup goalies are told to track different things (faceoffs, shots, zone entries, etc) to keep them engaged in the game in case they have to go in. Of course that can lead to situations like this one where you're not looking up when the puck deflects onto the bench. I don't know if that was the situation here, just a potential explanation.

I saw a stat that Rempe has been ejected four times in the 22 games he’s played in the NHL. That should speak volumes about the whole situation.
Rempe is a waste of a roster spot. The Rangers are a mess and I am glad.

4 ejections in a 22 game career should tell you he's not good for player safety. Absolute goon, I love gooning to an extent but intending to injure anyone and everyone in your path is not cool. Play the puck for once eh?

I'm sick of Matt Rempe. The league is better without having enforcers. I hate how they advertised him practicing fighting with Georges Laroque then he does dirty plays like this during games. I hate him in the league. I hate how we are waiting for him to paralyze someone as if there's something noble about him hurting people.
I’m a Rangers fan but please get Rempe out of the NHL. I hope there is a massive suspension for him.
A thought experiment that will never happen, but would apply with the Rempes and Reaves of the world: instead of suspensions, make their teams have them lead x number of games in ice time, or they forfeit the game. Suspending a stiff like Rempe doesn’t hurt the Rangers, it helps them realize how useless he is.

I’m done with the Rempe experiment. That hit was dangerous and nearly cost the Rangers the game. He deserves a suspension since he’s a repeat offender. I had been fine with most of the Trouba hits as they were clear hockey plays. Rempe is a selfish idiot in how he conducts himself on the ice. Seems like a great kid but I am not a fan of plays like this.

It's been said one million times, but I say it again. Rangers suck at player development.
Best thing about Rempe is he might singlehandedly force the league to actually crack down on head contact without any bs fine print.
I love physicality, and physical players. But man Rempe shouldn't be allowed to play hockey right now, he is just hurting people, and its only a matter of time till someones injured long term because of him. He hasn't learned, and he refuses to change his play style. Hit people sure, but don't try to kill the guy. should be banned for the year honestly, cause he's shown he'll keep doing these plays

Having personally lived through two horrific episodes of concussion rehab, I have absolutely no tolerance for players like Rempe. I'd recommend a lifetime suspension, but guess it'll be 8 games or so. Predicting he'll come back in February and end some innocent opponent's career..
