Hello Johnathan, great interview with one of the greatest people on earth Mike Smith!!!! First class all the way!!!!!
I had the honour of meeting the great Mike Smith at Sam Houston Race Park back in 2019 for the Texas Racing Festival / Texas Champions Day . He was riding Midnight Bisou in the Ladies Classic . He came out and met and talked with all the fans in the event room, signed autographs and took pics with them all on his own time . He didn’t have to do that . He was very gracious , charismatic and generous . It was one of the best things that ever happen to me . I also like and I told him , in addition to his persona and athletic skills I immensely respect the fact that he is Not afraid to speak about and stand up for his Faith . Something that isn’t very popular and accepted these days , shows that he is a true Christian.

Mike, is one of the best jocks of all time. But better yet he is a very humble and wonderful person. I hope he never retires. He is the best thing horse racing has as an ambassador.
