Why re-acquiring Nikita Zadorov is a COMPLETE non-starter: Canucks Conversation

Is there ANY chance Vancouver and Boston team up on a trade to bring Nikita Zadorov back to Vancouver? Quads wants to brainstorm, but Harman is ready to shut this rumour down for good.

  1. I’ll workshop with u lol.. I used to be a huge zad fan but unless bruins retain at least a mil (which likely no chance they would do) and take Soucy then it was just be a bad move for Canucks

  2. u guys are totally missing the boat.. zadorov isnt just about stats and $$$. he brings so many intangibles that dont show up on the score sheet. id do hoglander and desharnais in a heartbeat.

  3. I’d love to have Zadorov back. No chance. Too expensive. I see Soucy getting traded for younger player with upside. Lefties are way easier to come by. Can’t trade Myers and I don’t see the point in trading Desharnais unless you just replac him with someone better.

  4. Foote and Gonchar must guide and coach Soucy and Myers into reliable and smart defense. Often, this type of inconsistency comes from a player's confusion about their role. Maybe both Myers and Soucy should focus on just being hard to play against defensive defensemen due to their size and reach and pair each of them with a more offensive puck-moving defenseman, like Brannstrom. I would love to see Mattheson or Andersson added to the Canucks' defense core. The idea of bringing back Zadorov is insanity at 5 million per season.

  5. Why does everyone forget that outside of one game, McDavid was shut down in that series? It was Draisatl that killed us.
