    Chevy dropped the ball and should have got him back when he asked for the release from Columbus if the rumors were true about legitimately being in contention for Trouba, but passed on Laine outright when they had similar contracts, really peeves me off.

    I wanna believe that Montreal is just a stepping stone back into the Canadian market for Patty and that after that one game back in Winnipeg and having a good season again, he’ll wanna come home to the Jets.

    Ehlers did play Minor in Quebec as well and with Laine being there I could see it happening. Will it happen? 50/50.

    It would be beautiful to see those two bang in goals, I just want it to be for the Jets. Frank is pretty credible so perhaps It fits okay with Habs planning, but they gotta make some moves and become stronger in order to be a more interesting destination

    Its also a win for Montreal they lack scoring. Newhook/depth after few guys is horrible.

    Ehlers for a solid D man and draft pick. Gotta make room for Chibby and Lambert eventually and D needs help right away. Plus even though I love Nik, I can totally see him in a Habs jersey so long as the return for him is even and fair.

    To answer the question quicker than this video would, no- Ehlers is NOT going to the Habs. For one, he's one of the Jets' best players, and he's not going anywhere, and second- even if he was, there's no way he'd go to a rebuilding team!

    Winnipeg hasn’t signed an extension yet!! So you never know but if he wanted to play there trade him there for any of there top players there and prospects that’s what Winnipeg should do

    Doesn't make sense for Montreal to sign a 29 year old top six winger to a long term contract. Got Laine and Caufield on the left side signed for next next year same with Gallagher, Slafkovsky and Anderson. That's over $36 million tied up in five wingers, what's Ehlers going to cost another 7M+?
