Telling you folks … hockey keeps shooting itself in the foot. A good clean AF hit by Thompson on Matthew’s and Reilly steps in and basically gets rag dolled before he bails. Matthew’s was fine but every good hit nowadays and some bozo has to go after the guy!!!
That was a good hit on Matthews. He doesn’t need anyone to fight for him. He is the captain. Nice sentiment but unnecessary. No fight was warranted there but one day Auston will need to fight his own fight if he really wants to be the leader of the Leafs.
