  1. Colby thought that he was playing 4d chess fighting once a year, while working on his bedroom cardio, now he is so old that his cardio is only good for the bedroom.

  2. Colby never has and never will change, at least not for the better. He never was elite. He beat cans and old guys that were way past their prime. He was never above gatekeeper level, but they pushed him because he was a loudmouth jerk like Chael, and they like his politics. Vonnegut was great.

  3. I mean his excuse with Trump is just that an excuse.

With that said we all did what we had to do make sure that we got 24 right if we wanted to survive

  4. The reason being an MMA heel is hard to do is because it’s super corny when you lose. Saying all this crazy shit comes off corny when you lose. Only way to combat that is to the Anti-hero heel, the Good Bad guy, like Chael. When Chael would lose he would say, “ ohhh I thought when I tapped the Round was over” lol. You can’t be Colby like, lose and still have his shtick.

  5. That nazi story is bullshido. Because the USA 🇺🇸 government fought the Nazi's and the took all their top Nazi scientists didn't hold them accountable and brought them to the US under operation PAPERCLIP.

  6. The difference between Bisping and Colvington is that Bisping actually became a UFC champion and he didn’t have Dana White to hold hand to get there, and had devastating losses (literally losing his eye) Colby
Covington got there playing the trump card(no pun intended) by being a walking internet troll like Jake Paul to put asses in seats and carved a smooth road for himself. And the irony is that he lost to an immigrant twice, and then lost to a Brit 😂

  7. Disagree completely. He claims he broke his foot in the first round of the Edwards fight. Whatever, he was obviously not the Colby we’ve seen. There was something wrong. With Buckley he took that fight with three weeks notice. To say that doesn’t matter ignores reality. Moreover that cut happened in round one again.

  8. Agreed, one of the few who had longevity as a guy who people wanna see loose is Floyd. Once you start loosing people have seen what they wanted to see your done

  9. Bisping is different he’s just a British guy with British humour always loved in the uk

  10. I think another important factor is the manner it which you lose. Dustin Poirier has lost 3 title fights in his career, but he is still a fan favorite. The reason being that not only does he lose with grace, but he's always fights phenomenally even when he loses. It's evident every time he walks into the octagon that he is elite. All of Colby's recent L's have been lack luster performances on his part. This is a nail in the coffin for any fighter, whether baby-face or heel.

  11. It’s sad Colby had to turn heel to stay relevant in MMA. Dude was gunna get cut from the promotion on a winning streak. UFC is a brutal business.

  12. Colby will never be champion. He will always be 2nd best. And now that he is older his chances of being champion are nill to none.

  13. As far as Convington's shtick goes, !00%.

In fact, I tend to not be interested in fighters who act like dicks, though you know what I am interested in?

    Redemption narratives.

  14. At the end of each day, Colby has to look himself in the mirror and on some level think "the real me just couldn't cut it"

  15. If Colby was smart he would’ve dropped the stupid character after the 2nd Usman fight when he dapped Usman up after the fight.

Edit: oh man you actually said it in the video. Yeah you’re absolutely right 😂

  16. No you’re not wrong at all. You’re a pundit and not a casual fan Jimmy. I think most people who have been watching for a long time would have this take. Unless you’re someone who likes stupid characters more than fighting, I don’t see why anyone would get behind a guy who only fights once a year and ducked the entire division- sitting out only for undeserved title shots or easy layups against aging vets. Most people with a brain were not falling for the charade.

  17. Colby Covington is Chael Sonnen without the personality or skills to back it up. He needs to take the half-assed character shit to the other side of TKO where it belongs.

  18. Everybody has seen the video of Colby with a kid signing autographs and he admits it’s an act sell ppv. No one believes Colby was the character he portrayed. It was so badly portrayed only the most limited people believe the act.

  19. Well problem is a heel in wrestling is what these guys emulate … but pro wrestling is a different animal and you can script wins. And script babyface turns Etc. Heel character in mma is when you haven’t fully thought through it. But would we ever even care about Colby if he had not been a “heel” ? Would he be spoke about at all?

  20. 💯💯💯

Floyd Mayweather made a lot more money when he went from "Pretty Boy Floyd" to the "Money Mayweather" heel persona He was able to maintain that persona because he literally never lost and fans paid money to watch this arrogant, showboat fighter lose (which he never did). It would have been a lot less appealing if he started dropping fights

  21. News flash!!! Colby Covington was NEVER elite!! Nothing you just described of him as a fighter screams elite. He’s always been a pillow handed, leg humper with good cardio. Every elite name on his resume that he beat was on the downside of their careers.

Oh, and characters are for that fake shyt called wrestling. All for fighters with personalities, but only clowns root for fake tough guys.

  22. Colby needed to take a page from the pro wrestling book. The best wrestlers turned from heels (bad guys) into faces (good guys) and vice versa. It's incredibly difficult to stay in a heel persona for years without switching up. People get bored of it. As you mentioned, he had opportunities to switch things up but never took them.

  23. I'm a Colby guy and can't argue with a word you said. I'd love to see him redeem himself but he doesn't seem to want it even if it was possible

  24. Hey Colby, after disrespecting the GOAT himself Jon Jones, if I were you I would be doing my best not to come in contact with him. You could possibly suffer a massive beat down like never experienced before. Trust , that killer Jon Jones ain't nothing to play with son. 😊😊

  25. Good riddance to Colby. His whole character was so bad that I think many people would just be glad to see him go. Dana clearly isn’t one of them though. He made excuses for him and Colby himself heard that and repeated it AND claims it was a clash of heads that caused the cut so in his mind, he got robbed because he was just about to come on and dominate the later rounds. 🙄.
