Kid carries himself well and I like his game. Will fit great in Oilers organization !!!
Now that the Oilers have the first pick, do you think they will trade down a spot so they can take Murray without having to just pass over Yakupov?
The Oilers have taken forwards in the past few first rounds. I think it's time for them to draft a defenseman they can build around. Murray seems like that guy. The thing is, Yakupov seems too good to just pass up. Maybe the Oilers can trade that first pick for the second or third pick and maybe a player or another draft pick so they can take Murray and get something extra.
By winning the draft lottery, Edmonton just got some free draft picks courtesy of the Columbus Blue Jackets because they were going to pick from #2 anyway. No way will they pick from #1. They need defense and they know that so they will trade down and take Murray. Everyone is happy.
