They gave up another goal in the final minutes of a period. I swear they do that more than any other team in the league, and it drives me nuts. I do not like this team this year.

I could very well be wrong on this. Poitras I think was sent down because he was taking hits where he put himself in danger of injury. Not looking up or protecting himself. Just the feeling I had after watching the game before he was sent back down.

What has Freddy contributed in 32 games other than a fight to defend Poitras? I get anxious every time the third line comes on the ice because of him. At this point the only times I notice him are when he's a negative impact. He frustrates me like Zadorov frustrates you. Un-scratch Koepke, bring up Poitras, move Kastelic back up to the third, I don't care. He plays like he doesn't want to be on this team, replace him with someone who does.
Wahlstrom looks like a power forward for us
This is the exact same thing that happened the last time we played the Oilers. Iâll be at the one January 7th, hereâs hoping for a different outcome

I was at the Seattle-Ottawa game and Uhlmark was a wall.
Seems like Swayman has problems with pucks along the ice, around his skates, he seems to escort pucks to the back of the net, if there laying at his feet, doesnât it ?
Swayman. The most expensive screen door in the league. He deserves 8+ mil a year with no experience to show he is worth it. Right now , the 3 million dollar back up looks like a much better deal. Sway rode a part time schedule doing part time work and wants elite pay. I was against it then and I am against it now. We should have kept Ullmark. I think he would have team a team discount deal and would have been more consistent.

Tough to win a game against a team like Edmonton when you only score 2 in the first. Still thought it was a great game, just sucks to have dropped it in the end. Thought Wahlstrom had a good start, made some really great defensive plays. Hope Sway can figure his shit out, because we need him at his best. Go Bâs.
Lots of chatter about Swayman. Deserved. But I think he needs something on the line to turn him âonâ. He had the Ullmark friendly competition, and last year he had the contract coming up. My hope is when (and really if) we make the playoffs he will light up – hopefully not the red light.

I dunno. I just watched the highlights on sportsnet and the laziness that led to the Oilers tying goal was inexcusable. The Bruins defense is questionable but not having other positions capable of good defense when needed, really hurts.
That was a good game. Thats the fastest our defence has looked, we needed one more save from Swayman though, either of those first two he could of had. Great intensity to start the game as well.
Good game but as we all know you can play a great game and lose because of just one or two stupid mistakes. Sway looked good but I think he wants one of those back. Finally had some offensive production but Pasta needs to sink breakaways at least 50% of the time.
Game was good and bruins did a lot of good things… But pastarnk needs to be addressed, he continuously plays like he doesn't care when he shoots they are either bad angle / easily saved or his shots are blocked immediately, then on chances he should shoot he passes to zacha or someone else that gets blocked or goes awry.
As a goalie, the reason a back-hand is so effective to me is not necessarily being able to read where the puck is going off the blade but, the quickness of the release itself.
On a shooters forehand, their hands typically shift, their weight loads the stick, and then it is shot.
On the backhand, first off, most players are carrying the puck in the shooting position on the back-hand, which means no hand-shifting or loading your weight on the stick. The shot just, seemingly, comes out of nowhere.

Sway's NMC doesn't kick in until 2026-27. That being said, he would have to clear waivers to be sent to the AHL which would be insanely stupid to put him through the waiver wire…
Bad save selection on the first goal. RVH should not be used on a shot from the circle. Square up and use a normal butterfly and you're fine there. Rest of the game wasn't bad, made some big saves.
Hate to actually say this out load again. We never should have let go of Linus ever. I thought it was total insanity.

Father was snoozing through half the game. Wasnât until around 5 minutes when he hit a button in his sleep, that I had to wake him up. Audio was no longer synced. So. Picture was about 15 seconds ahead of the audio. Even though it was around 1:30 when the audio said âitâs 2:15â McGooner scored. Fuck I hate McGoon. I understand he is basically living aimbot. However. Fuck him. His goal? His reaction? Like he never scored before in his life and the goal won them the Stanley Cup. Thatâs legitimately how it looked to me. Never even seen Ovi that happy to score a goal, and he is known for celebrating like itâs his first.
Am I mad about the loss. Yes. Did I predict a loss? Yes. Why? We are the Boston Bruins. âNuff said. (If we can find a way to lose, we will. This year)
I am genuinely happy with acquiring Wahlstrom, hope we can keep him. Unlike Johnson. I found Wahlstrom by happenstance on the ice. Never was I looking FOR him, so I could hope and pray for the other team to score, or for him to be hurt in some way. (Not malicious, just. Getting ran through or checked in some way.)
Swaymanâs goofy goal definitely hurt us, a lot. You knew right in that moment âOilers will tie it.â Why did it have to be Hyman, Hopkins and McDavid who scored. Fuck each one of them. You know what. Just looked at the box score. Didnât realize Ekholm was the scorer. Donât like him either. Iâm keeping that in there, because. Fuck those oilslicks.

They played a good game and we got a point. Goaltending let us down. Every goalie in the nhl makes great saves but elite goalies steal a game. hasnât stolen a game yet.How many times last year did goaltending steal a game this year? I bet if we had the goaltending of last year we would be in the same position this year.
This was the best game for Pasta this season but his slow home skating make it to be 1 against 3 and the overtime loss . But I ask it again – are we bad trained ? – we was totally waisted in the third periods 10 minutesâŠ
LQBF – one thing we all need to realize is that this is the first long road trip of the season. All the previous ones were short and with Monty. I think they are starting to get it together, Sacco has been a big part of this improved play.
Not sure if someone has mentioned this already, but just a clearification on Johnson : the waivers are not to send him down, but for contract termination.

We think we want Poitras back with the big club because he's a center (centre?) with a French name and because we REALLY want Patrice Bergeron back. Bergeron is not walking down that tunnel. Let the kid tear it up in the AHL, continue to develop, get used to the pro pace, and put on some more weight. If he comes back to Boston he's just going to get beat up like before. Or do we think he's suddenly going to carry over his point per game streak in the AHL to the NHL?

The thing I will say is itâs clear that the Bruins need a better bottom pairing on defense. I mean you pay zadarov 5 million, and peeke and Wotherspoon are horrible for the most part. On any Stanley cup contenting team, both of them would be 7/8th defenseman, just like Oesterle. Lohrei is too unpredictable at this stage you donât know what youâre going to get game to game. They need another top 4 d man. And then probably another bottom pairing guy whoâs good to play with zadarov. But thatâs just talking about the defense obviously. Whalstrom could be a reallly good find for a forward tho. That could help the offense and help create more of an identity impact for his line
